How does your game fit the theme?
My game is about trying to break out of a loop. Your drains as you move, so you need to collect coins and buy upgrades so you can advance further in the next loop.

Art and music enhance the mood very well. Love this platformer, definitely feels like the type of game with a high skill ceiling. In fact, I made a tricky jump and got above the map lol

art is amazing, music is good. I loved it

Best game I played so far. Artwork is fantastic, the idea is great, I would add posibility to refill heath when fire started.

Hi! Very pleasant game! Everything looks cohesive and well-though. Good animations, beautiful lights, smooth and crisp movement! I liked it!

By the way, 7z download options were kinda broken, I only managed to use zip!

Such a smooth animation! The gameplay feels really nice! The walljumps were a bit tricky since jumping from a wall doesn't put much distance between you and it I often hit the spikes when trying to jump past them. Also, kinda wish the camera gave me more room to look down when falling and having to dodge spikes, ended up relying on memory on those. Nevertheless, really nice entry!!

Developer

Thank you for your feedback, I’m glad you enjoyed it :) good shout about the camera, it does look down a little but not nearly enough I guess.

I rushed adding the spikes at the end and in hindsight messaged up with the hitbox. But oh well lol

Thank you for playing :)

The assets are really well put together, and the controls feel smooth and responsive.

I really liked how your mobility increases as you progress — such a smart design choice.

I did encounter a small bug: when I lit a bonfire, my character kept walking even though a dialogue had started.

Also, the spike hitboxes might be a bit too large and punishing.

But overall, this is still an excellent game — and honestly one of the most satisfying I've played during this jam (and I’ve tested quite a few, haha)!

Developer

Thank you so much for your kind words. I’m really glad you enjoyed it so much :) I spent a lot of time in the beginning tweaking the movement and making it feel solid, maybe too much lol

Ah, I can already guess why that bonfire bug happened… I’ll probably patch that and the spike hitboxes after the voting finishes.

Thank you for playing :)

Loved the art of your game, great pick on the assets! The collecting coins / upgrade loop felt smooth. I like the idea of being able to double and wall jump but I found the wall jump hard to use. That's a great game anyway, well done!!

Developer

Thanks dude :) Yea the difficult wall jump is a bit of shame, I just didn't have the time I needed to really perfect it. But I'm glad you enjoyed it nonetheless. Thanks for playing :)

That wall jump and that spike hitbox really made me rage, but I can't deny the loop of collecting coin to go a bit further each time is really fun !

Developer

Haha sorry... the wall jump and spikes were added a little too last minute so I didn't have enough time to really tweak them in the same level of detail I did with the other stuff.

I'm glad you enjoyed the core gameplay loop though. Thanks for playing :)

Nice art!

Developer

Thank you! Although I didn't make it though... I'm a programmer, so I outsource my art haha.
I'll take it as a compliment that I put it together well, like the parallax lol Thanks for playing :)

This was a blast! The controls feel surprisingly solid for a jam build, and the upgrade system really keeps you engaged.

Developer

Thanks man :) I spent a lot of time at the beginning making sure the controls and the camera felt really good. Started to run out of time towards the end though. Glad you enjoyed it

Really cool game, love the idea. I actually think the movement is good, which is something i can rarely say for game jam platformers :) The progression and upgrades are fun, maybe i wish the exhaustion upgrade price didn't scale as much cause i'm bad and it takes me a long time to get to the next one, so i gave up before i finished the game. Also the wall jumping is a bit clunky which made progressing a bit frustrating, but i cant expect much better from a game jam game :) Otherwise, really impressive game, keep up the good work.

Developer

Thank you :) I worked hard to make the controls feel as good as possible. Unfortunately I started to run out of time and couldn't give the wall jump the same polish, sorry. I am glad you enjoyed it though.
