How does your game fit the theme?
BounceBack is a looping platformer level where gravity alternates. You cannot escape the level, only avoid your past. Past jumps leave behind deadly marks that you must maneuver around by rebuilding the level around you.

Simple and addicting game, I love it!
Thanks for playing!
like the idea and the visuals neon!!!
Thanks for playing!
Interesting idea.
Though you can just keep multiplying you score by warping back to back. The game doesn't give you warp damage when you keep just holding D and falling.
Hmm... I made it so if you do 3 or more screen wraps in one leg you start taking damage. Also you have to jump to actually increase your score, the multipliers dont apply unless you jump.
You can clear the platforms and then just keep going and falling. And since the screen warp damage count gets reset on direction change you can do it infinetly. And if you store some platforms in the backpack you can then apply the multiplier.
Interesting.. what score did you get with this method though
Not much I think. I didn't have time to properly test it, but it is a thing you can do.
Yeah playing normally is just better and more fun, thankfully
Great concept but quite simple. Currently it is very easy to just keep doing the same thing over and over again without much risk. I think it could be neat if there were more types of platforms and/or ways to gain new platforms (since there are ways to lose platforms - since you dont get one back if you jump from one at full inventory, which isn't an issue, but i feel like if there's ways to lose platforms there should be ways to gain them too)
I'm confused by what you mean by same thing over and over. When you jump that platform becomes deadly and you get a platform, so as you loop around you must avoid your past jumps by building around. As long as you keep moving forward this gets really hard later on. However I definitely think I could've worked on this more but I started the night before the deadline so I could only do something simple. I like your idea of different platforms, may add that in the future!
Neat concept and idea!
I feel like I must have misunderstood something about the game, since it seems like you can just repeatedly jump up and place down platforms in a straight upward line to get points. I'm guessing I probably missed something given the other comments, but at least I can say the music and visuals look good!
Wow I didn't even realize this. I was thinking of adding a timer so you have to keep looping around, and now I regret not adding that. You successfully broke my game!
I did horrible but still enjoyed! Good game.
Pretty fun concept, My record was 157. Got confused a lot of times when I got reversed XD. I liked strategic approach of this one. Good job :D
Cool concept. The game is fun and controls feel good for the most part. The loop reverses the forward direction and my brain just intuitively goes to press E lol. Gameplay basically becomes a strategy game and how much you can optimize on block so makes it pretty replayable too.
Appreciate it! I'm glad it feels replayable and yeah I just thought it would be annoying to switch between A and D for going forwards and "backwards" when upside down
Fun game.
This concept is simple, but it's really good and well executed. It really made me wanna optimize my strategy and change my approach every leg, great work!
Great to hear! Considering I started the night before the deadline I'm glad the game seems well-executed
The night before? You made so much in so little time, whoa
This is a very neat game that I felt was just reallyyyy small with not much to make you want to keep going it seems
The main motivation is to just maximize your score by staying alive and looping around -- and avoid where you jumped previously by "rebuilding the level".
The screen wrapping and upside down platforming is really cool!
very nice game! my high score is 285
