Wow, I didnt expect to finish the whole thing and I also didnt expect that its a whole level filled with various mechanics, with a little bit of puzzle mixed in. Creating the lasso itself was more fun than I thought! :DD
Thank you so much for playing the whole thing!! We tried to do a lot :)
cool concept, good job! i like it! :D
Thank you! Also dandadan rocks lol
nice idea with lasso mechanics!
Much appreciated :)
i am the LASSO WIZARD. ALL THE PINK BLOBS TREMBER BEFORE THE MIGHT OF ME AND MY MOUSE.
HUZZAH!
great work 🌀. Congrats dude 🌌
Thanks! Love your game too, simple and fun lol
Impressive amount of content and evolution in this one, without losing track of the focus. There was a lot of leeway to the core design - maybe a bit too much but that is better than the alternative for a jam. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about the jump as it kind of became worse as the levels went on, though the animation did compensate for some of the floaty frustration.
This is one of the few lasso games that hasn't strained my wrist, one of the few multi-task games that hasn't overwhelmed me, and an expansive platformer that doesn't overstay it's welcome. You hit on a good melding of elements here.
Thank you so much!
Yeah I had to crank up the leeway towards the end of the submission just to account for any sneaky bugs that could arise, worked out in the end!
The jump was definitely a first minute addition that didn't get any last minute adjustements haha but glad you noticed we did try to compensate for it!
Thank you though, we tried our best :)
I love the character art for this one, it felt very fluid! The drawing mechanic reminded me of Okami (in a good way). Would be really cool to expand this with more shapes and abilities in the future, there would be a lot of potential! My main piece of feedback is that I would probably take a second look at the jumping. From the character design it looks like it's built with floaty physics in mind but it could probably be fine tuned to give the player a little more control. Great work :)
Thank you!! Very glad to hear there's potential in it, I must also say I LOVED your game, the style and everything is adorable, will actually go mention that on the page haha!
Yeah the jump was just implemented from the getgo and we clearly left it to the wayside and when it came to changing it we ran out of time haha. Just think of it as a design choice, not a lack of effort ;)
Thank you again!
Had to break out the drawing tablet for this one :^)
First off, gameplay was unique and I didn't notice any problems with it. Artwork was lovely, had great colours and shadows, the animation felt really considered as well, just that one frame inbetween the character changing direction really makes it feel so seamless. I liked how the music intensified as the level went on.
I did accidentally hit 'r' halfway through playing it and was then sent all the way back to the start which was in the description to be fair, I think that's the only thing I would change about this. Maybe also some different tiles for the terrain but I'm just nitpicking at this point. Really nicely done stuff
Thank you so much for the thorough feedback, the team put in great work! Could definitely change R to a further key actually, didn't think about that! Thank you though, under the time constraints we had to stick with minimal tiles but yeah :)
Very much appreciated!
Congratsss!!! Its fun 🥰❤️❤️
Thank you!! Your game is really cute too!
i loved the drawing mechanic, a little sketchy to understand at first. also the artwork was good
Thank you so much! The artists did great work with the time constraints
Loved the lasso. New take on an oldie. Really liked it.
Thank you so much! :)) Pokemon Rangers inspired heh
I absolutely loved my time with this one! The loop drawing was fun, and in some cases frantic as I drew the worst loops known to man while trying to get some of the ghosts 😂 The artwork for those and the main character were gorgeous, and the new ideas honestly kept coming and kept things feeling so fresh throughout, awesome work!
Thank you!! I played yours actually, should go ahead and rate it, loved your game as well it's very atmospheric and spooky!
Great work to you too :))
This was awesome you guys! The wand drawing was very fair and consistent. I enjoyed learning about all the mechanics one by one. Felt so cool jumping to a platform and making it appear with the wand just in time to land on. The art and sound really brought it together. I will say the jump feels very floaty, which could've been intended, but took a bit to get used to. Good job everyone!
Thanks so much for the thorough feedback! The jump was more or less intended, ran out of time to polish it, thank you again though :)
I really liked this game. Solving the puzzles with magic was a lot of fun. Good balance between puzzles, jumping and combat too!
Thanks a lot! GreenSully (game design) did some fantastic work introducing mechanics and making it cohesive!
This is a really fun game idea! I love the way drawing plays a role in movement.
Thanks so much! :)
Cool game, literal use of the theme. Nice work!
Thanks!! Tried to hit the theme on the head haha
Nice Game, the game is unexpectedly long (in the good way), good job
Thank you!!
Surprisingly many mechanics that are introduced at a good pace to keep you going! I like the "rising" jump animation. It ends up feeling a bit long though. What's the lore around the ominous crosses at the end?
Thank you! There's no lore, we just threw them there and forgot about them haha!
