When The King dies (or in this case gets killed) an heir is alread standing by to become the new King. This continues in an ongoing circle that has to be broken by the player.

Very well put-together. Ultimately amounts to a single, extremely simple puzzle, but great for what it is.
Fun concept for a puzzle game it would be neat to see expanded into more levels. Had a fair bit of technical trouble unfortunately, between the long load times and frequently loading in to a black screen, or no scope overlay, or having shot immediately before I have control.
Unfortunately you are not allowed to click during loading screens or else things break a bit. I would like to fix and improve the game in the future but I'm afraid my Code is beyond saving. 😅

simple but effective. would be cool to see this expanded upon for different scenarios with different ways to take out all the guards :)

Loading time aside, it was worth waiting for when I figured out the trick to get every guard and see the cutscene afterward lol, nice fun game I can see it having more puzzly levels in a more fleshed out version !!
It was pretty slow to load in browser (using chrome), regardless, it was definitely fun! really cool game :)
Yes, the long loading time bothers me too. It comes from a last minute workaround I sadly had to do that unreasonably increased the file size.
But nice to hear that you enjoyed the game afterwards :)
very nice one! I loved the ending. It was also very interesting how you used the chess pieces as characters! the bishop giving the cross to king was also a very cute small detail. The voicelines were also very funny. Well done!

Great game, really funny. It took me some time to figure out how to kill all 4 guards, but in the end I figured it out :)
I find it really amusing. For your first game it's impressive and creative. I was kinda puzzled how to win but the screenshots gave me a hint. I had fun with your game.
