How does your game fit the theme?
In DejaVu, the player is stuck in a literal time loop - every time they die, the world resets. But teh loop isn't just mechanic ; it's tied to the story. The player learns from each failure, uncovering the secrets and progressing by repeating the same timeline with new knowladge. Read more in the game's description.

I feel the highlight is the ending. Its neat and simple, just getting there is a bit tougher/gruelling than I would've expected/liked.

Totally understandable, thanks for feedback!

very nice ending! I really liked it! I also used every hint in the game, and needed to read the comment about the code "0". IT's strange that you chose to have each password a different length, I thought in the start that every one would be 4-digit, so finding out it was 0 it was confusing...

Very nice idea nevertheless, and the dialogues were very creative, well done!

Thanks for playing! I figured that codes being deifferent lengths might be confusing mid developement but I was in a rush and just ignored that fact. Also wanted some of them to be 6 digid so you have to remember them while you have to get somewhere and think about the jumping as well (a little multitasking rage bait :D) + you can enter any number of zeros (0, 00, 000, 0000, ...). Unfortunately I can't fix anything now but I'll improve it once Game Jam ends. Thanks for playing to the end and I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for playing!

hahahah, I didn't know the rage bait was intentional >:) I was just saying the code to myself again-again while trying to remember the fake platforms... that was evil

Developer

:D, ye, I really didn't want people to finish in 1-2 minutes lol

The game is unique! For me it was a bit frustrating at times though. I think one improvement you could make is making the codes shorter (like 2-3 digits). It was really difficult to memorize them while playing and I had to end up writing them down, which was kind of annoying. Overall though, the concept was cool!

Loved the quirky style to the game and audiol and the challenge of remembering past failures (the first time seeing a checkpoint was a big relief haha).

Well the game was actually quite fun, being a memory game, but the problem is that I didn't get the hint where it tells you to look at the signs as a whole. Maybe I'm just not smart enough to understand, but anyway, I enjoyed the test that it ensued on my brain and the style is quite cool. I will say that the game is very basic and could do with some more audio, but I do like that the game requires you to make sacrifices to progress. That's kinda cool. Very well done! The part when there are a lot of code signs, you're supposted to see the shape of the signs witch are formed into 0 (so the code is 0). There's also tutorial on the game's page. Actually, much more people than I tought had this problem, sadly I can't make it any easier now. Thanks for playing!

cool concept but really hard to finish, i couldn't figure the puzzel on the second check point, i fall to the hole and find lots of signs and completly start thinking and testing! cool game

Cool game! I found it a bit hard to keep track of which steps were fake since they all look the same lol, otherwise it was pretty fun (:

I love the feeling of the little slime character. I kept getting tricked and falling through platforms haha. Nice submission! :)
