some cool ideas here. I really like the “7 deadly sins” style framework of it

Thanks.

Good work, the flavor text in particular is really well written!

There's a lot of potential in the setting, but it feels like its constraint by the limited space of the contest. I would be really interested in a versions were each location got a real opportunity to shine!

Developer(+1)

Thanks. I really thinking on expand more the submission.

A afterlife landscape for the players to escape from. I love the thought that has gone into the theme of negative emotions. I wonder if a more explicit hook for the characters could prompt more connections between locations and encounters.

Developer(+1)

Maybe the encounters, mostly ghosts, can give this flavor. Thanks for reading and comment

Great vibes. Evocative descriptions. I’d like to see this fleshed out with more gameable detail.

I love the art and atmosphere of this. I found the layout confusing initially, but it does make sense for printing. I'm not sure I understand how the puzzle works - do the figurines themselves glow, or are they just recognisable as the spirits that have previously been encountered, who have particular colours associated with them? Would love to see a longer version with more space to elaborate on all the areas and the spirits.

Developer

Yeap, i have a long version, but needed to cut somethings. The puzzle is exactly how you think, the figurine is associated to the spirit glow, or, if you can co-relate, each emotion has a color connection, just like the movie Inside Out. Thanks for your time reading and comment.

The text here is very evocative and sets the imagination wheeling. The true nature of the final spirit is really interesting and has some cool implications for future adventures.

Developer(+1)

Thanks. Good to know you liked some of my ideas.

Moody, atmospheric and delicate in feel. Really liked this - it has a sombre grace to it. Would be a fantastic palate cleanser in the midst of a campaign, as some kind of liminal sphere or dreamland between other locations.

Nice add. Thanks for your comment

Big fan of the map & each location’s incredible vibes! As stated by another commenter, I would absolutely use this module as a testing ground post-TPK to see if my PCs could earn a second chance at life. Good job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks. The post-TPK is winnig the hooks choices.

I enjoyed the maps. I can see using this adventure for a one-shot or a couple sessions, or a GM could fully detail out the different locations and make a whole campaign out of it, using this sort of like an outline or guide. The quotes add a ton of atmosphere and give a great feel for the world.

Developer(+1)

You described exactly what some people playtesting told me. This can be a one shot or a full campaign. Thanks for your comment.

Excellent atmospheric writing and great sketchy map style! I also enjoyed some of the small details, such as the side effects of Unholy Healing and the Thanobex! Good work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks. I struggled a bit to create a unique creature that could terrorize this spiritual, dreamlike place, as well as the Urn's powers and side effects. Glad to know you liked it.

Woah.  I found the writing absorbing.  I like the unique creatures.   I'd mention the suggestive map & flawless formatting too.  Much left to interpretation and referee's fiat, like how the puzzle would go down.  I could see this used in a few ways including a planes based campaign.   Congrats on this splendid piece.

Developer

Thanks. Let me know if you play it.

Very cool adventure! I love the map and the tags for each location are very helpful and cool.

This feels like a scenario one could run as a journey into the afterlife, perhaps if a party was accidentally wiped out! Simple but effective. I like the structure of the locations as islands, as this gives well delineated areas with a clear means of travel between them. More specific details would perhaps bring the locations into sharper relief for me. Nicely done.

Developer(+1)

Thanks. I had to remove a lot of things, including more details about the islands and spirits. After so many comments, I'm considering making another, more comprehensive version, with all this and more.
