The music is so goood. Like genuinely good job, the music was so good. I was really bad at the game though lol. But yeah this game was really cool, congrats man, i hope you make it to the top 10 :)

Cool idea. Had some confusion because the pattern of keys doesn't necessarily reflect the relative movement of the notes. The rhythmic changes were tricky to parse too. Maybe the time/progress bar needs more information, has multiple segments etc.

I don't understand what you mean by "the pattern of keys doesn't necessarily reflect the relative movement of the notes", could you explain it more please?

You're right, the bar should've had more information, as it is some of the rhythm changes are too quick to react to. I should fix it sometime after the jam

Thank you for your feedback :D

For example, the notes in a phrase move up, but the required button combo changes/contradicts the sounded phrase. I guess this usually doesn't feel like an issue in other rhythm games because you see the buttons approaching along a track. Maybe I just need more time to get used to it.

This  game is amazing!!!!!! A Rhythm+Memory game seems like such a natural fit that it's mindblowing I haven't seen that combo before. The call-and-response made me feel so involved with the tracks. And every song is genuinely so groovy and banging.

However, there has GOT to be a better way to display this game visually. It was initially difficult for me to figure out how the game worked, and once I got into it, I really struggled to understand which section was happening and which section was coming next. I was rarely ready to react when it was my turn, especially in the harder songs (So It Rocks beatmap is insane btw).

I really appreciate how many options you give the player. Implementing 4 tracks with 5 modes each is so nuts. And it's so considerate that you allow players to bind their own keys.

I would LOVE to see this developed further. I'm a sucker for rhythm games with quirky mechanics.

Thank you for your feedback :D

I noticed early that the bar at the bottom wasn't very human reaction time-friendly but I couldn't find a better one & preferred to focus on the rest of the game, also I thought maybe by simply plainly writing "LISTEN" & "REPEAT" the tutorial would be clear enough, though I didn't get any feedback from the places where I shared the game during development

Once the jam is over, I'll very probably update the game at least to fix the display & probably also improve the tutorial

I really really enjoyed the music but I found the mapping (not sure it's the right term here) for the music was pretty hard to follow/repeat
