It was a good game. There were a few issues, mainly the boomerang being way too OP. So I just saved some money to buy it and essentially finished the boss next try. But said finish was just a boring driving and shooting.
Some rebalancing or a farther reaching attack for the boss could make it more dynamic.

The character design was pretty cool for this one!
That being said, there were a lot of pain points for this game for me:
- Melee attack felt weak and unsatisfying to use... a bit more range and animation would have gone a long way
- More hitsounds would have been great as well (some metal scraping or 'plinks' for damaging the boss?)
- It was very hard to tell what's an attack animation or not for the boss
- Hurtboxes didn't feel telegraphed enough, and there weren't enough hit effects (sounds, animations, knockback, crumple stun, etc) to tell that I got clipped by an attack
- The boomerang is incredibly overpowered and pretty much trivialized the game for me: all I had to do was circlestrafe the boss and chip it out until it died
- The controls in the pause menu told me I could dash and throw boomerangs when I didn't have the upgrades, and I was very confused that I couldn't do either of those things
It was a cool idea and I was excited to play it but I immediately hated the controls and it felt like I was constantly taking damage for no reason.
I really enjoyed the game, the abilities, the boss fight, it's interesting. Some suggestions would be an option to adjust your sensitivity because I had a problem with that, otherwise, the game is pretty cool!

I can see how it can become an interesting game down the road. Having the boss be better refined with different behaviours, and your character having different ways to beat it would be great. Otherwise, some parts to improve are the clearer hitbox (or visual feedback) for both the player and the boss, better character movement, and better defensive/dodge mechanics. Great attempt though!
Hitboxes are a bit janky, but I really like the character designs and boomerang
I think clarity is an important part of what makes a great soulslike, this is a great concept that I think could become really exciting if clarity were improved! Things like how long the flying electric orbs last, visual on hit effects for when the player and boss take damage, as well as a roll I think would elevate this quite a bit! The jump didn't really feel meaningful, I mostly just reacted to his spin attack and would move away, similarly the double jump upgrade just didn't feel super relevant. I was able to beat him with only the boomerang upgrade, I think it's possible with no other upgrades but without a roll I found it really hard to get damage in safely. Great job, this has potential!
The hit box is really hard to understand, but the game is cool, good job
the boss is too good he does some kind of hit that takes 80 health without moving anything and i cant even see his projectile maybe you made it too hard
I still can't beat him with max upgrades, so obviously the upgrade cap is too low. It can't be that I'm just bad at this game noooo.
Also Ruptured unavailable in my country...
Thanks for the feedback! That's a common problem in game dev where the developer makes the game too hard as we play it more than anyone else. If only we had more time to balance it!
Ruptured isn't available in any country currently, as it is not yet released. Wishlists are greatly appreciated though!
Fun incremental game. Getting enough upgrades to demolish the boss feels great!
