Historical Accuracy
Sources for our topic are listed on the game page, but to summarize:

There are several documents that describe the relevance of cleanliness to Viking culture. For example, "REGINSMOL" mentions that everyone should be "combed and washed", prepared to meet their fate at any time as death could come at any time. This shows hygiene to be of significant cultural import.

This showed a great level of research and I liked the step by step process of doing the cleaning. Quite relaxing! It wasn't entirely intuitive what I was being judged on for either stage, but the foundations are solid!

I found you're entry very relaxing. The amount of historical research and the way you incorporated it into the game was top notch, congrats. The only change I would make is that in the washing scene, it might have felt more intuitive to drag the items from their starting location over the character. Instead of clicking on a button to change the items. Congrats on a great entry.

Hey thanks for the feedback and kind words! We worked hard on the research and had a fun time thinking of good ways to incorporate our findings into game form. The thought about changing how the interactable objects are selected is a good idea and worth a try. Thanks for playing and happy HAGJ!

Team Clean delivered a real gem here! Congrats to all of you — the variety, the historical interjections, the intuitive fun (I’m really only hung up on the sweatpants, but I think that’s proving a point of its own). A triumph; and a good laugh. Woot woot!

Thank you so much for the encouraging words and feedback! We love being silly and I'm glad our ideas and research translated well into the game we made. Happy HAGJ!!

Heyyy! (like the sfx in the game)

The most unexpected wash-up and dress-up game! The concept was funny, and the incorporation of real historical facts seamlessly integrated into the design choices made throughout the game. Was fun to play, though I could never quite get all the dirt off. Was a cool way to learn about Viking hygiene and dress code practices.

Thanks for the entry, and for another cool game for us to play.
