Ranked from 8 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.
Historical Accuracy
Battle of Stamford Bridge (1066). I did not do research for vegetation, and a lot of historical accuracy is lost because I am bad at drawing.
Thematic Relevance
Often regarded as the last viking battle

Hi there, neat idea. I wasn't too sure if I was placing my sword and shield in the right place. I got six kills in the end, but I don't know how I did it. Some music and sound affects could have helped to tie the game together. Maybe instead of waiting for the timer to finish and holding the button in place, merely pressing the button could have locked in your placement selection. That could have made the game feel faster and increased the stakes a bit. Nice entry, congrats on finishing.
This is a skill issue I know, but I definitely struggled to interpret this game — but I’ve seen proof that it can be played well! The premise is strong and the idea of countering the opponent’s moves was a nice constraint. Thanks for sharing!
The beginning of a potentially decent action game?
I could see the player fighting progressively down the bridge, fending off soldiers from Godwinson’s army. Thank you for your entry, and for giving it your best shot, despite art not being your forte! Cool touch with the UI toggle as well, which acts simultaneously as your Tutorial Screen.
Thank you for the entry! Looking forward to your next one already.
