I like the style and the basic mechanics are fun. I would add some special effects, perhaps the ability to pass through enemies you hit or increase your shooting speed if you immediately deflect the ball or multiple balls at the same time. Let's say you can take any Arkanoid game and apply buffs and debuffs to your game. Keep developing it!
