I love this art style and the music so damn much bro!!!

Developer(+2)

Thaaaaank youu! :D Happy you liked the art style :)), shout out to Nate for the music (yeah i'm spamming this everywhere, but man, he deserves it lol)

THIS GAME IS INCREDIBLE. I really like the mechanics at play here they are so very well executed, having them on a loop is one thing but having the UI allow you to change them on the fly makes the whole concept work. I feel there are some things that could've been better explained, but I do think that this has a lot of space to be expanded into something bigger (some poeple suggest metroidvania)

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much again man, really appreciate it <3 I really hope i'll have te motivation to continue this into a bigger project ahahah, thanks!

Submitted(+1)

Awesome take on the loop concept, loved how the music and the commands were in perfect sync.

on top of that the visuals were so good too, great art style. (The retro game style voice for the announcer/narrator was a nice touch too).

Developer(+2)

Thank you so much eheh, the narrating voice was nate's idea! Now that i think of it we could've used it more in the game, but that was like a last minute detail, so rip, thanks again :D

Submitted(+1)

Awesome game. I love how abilities are synced to the music.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! Really happy you liked the synced abilities, we spent a lot on it <3

Developer(+1)

Really appreciate it! Happy you enjoyed my style ehehe, thank you so much :D

The art is absolutely beautiful, and the gameplay is simple yet challenging. Would love to play a full length version of this amazing game. Easy 10/10

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot! Appreciate you liked te graphics <3

A full game would be veery interesting, if i really want I would've to reeeeally lock in and be sure about it, but since the game has been getting a lot of positive feedbacks i guess it has an higher chance of being fully relised eheheh, thanks again!

This is a really well made game!

By the way, theres a bug where i got the green key out of nowhere (third level), not sure how that happened

Developer(+2)

Ehyy! Thank you so much and yeah ahah, that bug happened like very few times when i was playtesting it, but didn't have any time to fix it sadly, thanks for telling me, will try to fix it as soon as the jam ends! :))

This game is such a masterpiece, I think it is my favorite so far. LOVED the concept and the music sounds art... everything is perfect. You deserve to be top 10 in this jam. Good luck man!

Developer(+1)

Omg THANK YOUU! so kind of you, i'm happy you had fun, and i hope i actually reach at least 100th place ehehe, thanks!

Submitted(+1)

This is soo good, it is probably my favourite game in the jam so far. The idea is so good and fit the theme really well, but damn the execution, perfection! The music, the action being in rhythm, I was jamming the whole time I played. Felt soo dumb when I finally realised I could just grab the blue key after trying to reach it for however long... good level design! Truly a favourite, fantastic work!

Developer(+1)

This really means a lot, thanks a lot man! Really feel like that blue key was a problem for most of the people lol, as the object seemd most of the time like something you could obtain by reaching it AAHAHHA

Happy you liked the level design, spent a lot of the time on it, thanks! :D

Hello again! I think this game is pretty perfect, 5s across the board. I do think its too punishing though.

This game balances a line between precision platformer and puzzle platformer, and does it well. I think the one thing holding it back is the spikes/enemies, because it makes you restart the level. In a precision platformer, I don't mind restarting the level, due to the inherit joy of moving through the level. While this game's movement is fun to pull off, I think due to your actions being timed, which is there because its the puzzle aspect of the game, it's inherently less fun then a movement system that's more responsive. Personally, I found the joy of the game to be solving the puzzles,  and restarting because I messed up an order of something, or did a bad input, and having to redo the puzzles hurts the experience for me.

I'm sure it would be hard, but I bet there's a way to design these levels where dying doesn't mean losing all your progress, maybe just being sent to a different position without losing your abilities you already have gained. Just something so I don't need to repeat puzzles I've already solved.

BUT I do really like this game, and I feel like it deserves to make it into the video for sure. I wouldn't have written this much If I didn't adore Voodloop. The juice is fantastic, I love that everything is tied to the beat. You use the theme excellently. I havent seen this aesthetic in many other games this jam and the main character is adorable. Amazing Amazing job!

Developer(+2)

Wow, i'm really grateful man, thank you so much, seriously! I 100% agree with what you said here, i mostly added enemies and spike for variation, to make levels with different layouts and to add more puzzles, but as you said it hurts a bit the experience

Something nice that i could've done maybe was just use every tile you get as a checkpoint, could have been way better and less broken than the actual checkpoints lol, surely tho im happy i managed to make the puzzle side of the game still nice, as i never tried something like this before! Happy you also liked the syncronized actions with the beats, really, thanks again <33

Submitted(+1)

One of my favorite take on the theme. The gameplay makes so much sens and after a bit you can even play without looking at your perks as it syncs with the music. Fantastic job ! The fact that you can drag around perks taht you don't want to use is very good too. I sadly stop because I couldn't make the second checkpoint to be the active one and got tired of redoing the level :D
But really awesome work good job ! Everything is so coherent 5/5

Developer(+2)

YEAAAH Thanksss, really sorry about the checkpoint not working, even  tho i added them only because of how difficult level 5 was starting to get, but still managed to make everything worse lol

Happy you also started vibing with the combos ehehehe as it is probably the best way to play it and don't rage AHAHAH, thank you so much again! :))
