Cute and well done. The level of polished is insane. Great job everyone

Great game, love the twists. Super polished and clean. I love the art direction. Awesome job !

Such a smart take on the theme. And wow the level of polish in this. Controls are super good. 5/5 good job !

Thanks a lot. Such a cool run and finds ! The jump to get the torch and the wall jumps in the caves. Good job ! Thank a lot for the time you spent on this, and the feedback all along ! I completely redid the controller. So I'm hoping doing release just to have a cleaner experience if someone try it in the future. We'll see where it goes !

Precious feedback there. I'll try to make it more obvious for the vines. Probably the design which isn't the best. Or some place that makes it obvious. I'm currently redoing the controller, so I hope it will be better :D Thanks a lot for the feedback and your kind words !

Thanks ! I actually redid the entire controller and am still working on it. At least, if players tries the game after the patch, they won't get this controller :D Thanks for your feedback !

Thanks a lot for your feedback, I'm glad it felt like the right scope and length as It's something I try to keep in mind. Thanks for your time and kind words !

❤️

Cool ! I gladly try it !

Thanks ! I felt like I took maybe to much time level designing, but this kind of comment makes it worth it :)

Thank you so much. And yes, the controller will be the first change for sure ! Thanks for your feedback !

I mean it's weird to know you can just see my code like this and it is interesting to note this for futur stuff i'll be doing easy it is to do this. I'm not sure I like it, but I'm not sure I mind it either. I'd rather learn from this :D

My code is wrong on so many levels since it's for a jam. I'd rather have someone look into a better project ahah.

Ah I forgot I added the skippable death after the first one. I knew the animation was kinda long so that is why. The death check is so poorly implemented it was just to avoid having corpse floating in the air if you're on a ladder (but it still happens since you can jump after the death *facepalm*)

Super smart and interesting to see how you did a run visualizer that fast. I was sure you were using the real collisionshape as i did them so irregularly on the different areas.

For the glitches, I won't try not to patch them so keep them for you. But since it's a prototype, if I rework on the project, obviously a lot of stuff will be changing. But i'll always let the jam build and I hope the new one will be more fun to speedrun (and still with a lot of exploits for sure). And I'm not planning on doing anything so soon, you got time :D
Thanks again for all the feedback and inputs !

Thanks a lot 🙏🙏

Ah! really interesting for the death on the explosion, I included the speedrun at the end just before release so of course there is some bugs  like this ! :). It should definitely count and it will in the future when I can change the code. Even if this is also what I like in speedrun on half life or stuff like this.  Anyway, for the categories, I'm not sure I should do anything about it. I think just making the timer constant and the lowest time count. Because trying to find some arbitrary rules with a score system and stuff seems out of place for a game like this it feels. In your first video, it was the route I was doing, but with the explosion bug, i'm sure there is better things to do. What do you use at the end to see the route like this 😮. Thanks for sharing all this. I wonder also how you die so fast the 2 and 3rd life ?

Hey, I didn't do anything special it feels.  It's more like a lot of twisting.

Depending on the collision shape that hit something, I decide if I make the controller super grippy or slidy.
Then basic gravity, and more gravity on right click.
And finally some force apply for the jetpack.
Anything you wanna know in particular ?

hehe nice !

Ah nice concept ! Love the idea of surviving until the end. And fighting with your oxygen. Smart take on the theme and very well executed. I know it is an asset but bg art is fire too. Great entry ! good job !

I am a good listener, I did everything good and got the good ending. I can go on now :D

Nice art direction, a bit more sound design could really add to the experience. I kept coming back to see what was next. Good job !

That good old flash game vibe. I loved it. Very nice level design and concept. Super easy to grasp yet sometimes hard to think outside the box. There is a level I even jump outside the viewport, not sure if it's intended or not :D. Super cohesive and overall a fantastic experience. Good job ! And that idle animation is top notch

Thank you so much ! It means a lot ! I always love speedrun so I try to always make my game speedrun friendly. I'm working right now, but i'll definitely record a run myself to see the difference. I'm actually still not sure about the best route yet so i'm curious about what you did. Even if it took me 8 years too I think. I need to redo it to make sure of that. Although 8 years when you designed the level is one thing, but well done for doing so fast !

🙏 Thanks a lot !

Thanks for the feedback. It's precious if I want to rework the project a little. Platforming is definitely off, and will be my first change. It seems so evident now that I can take a little step back. Interesting also for the first box, I need to think of a way to make all the props very distinguishable to avoid that. I was actually wondering during the process if that would be a problem. Thanks again for your time and feedback !

Super well done. It easy to pick up, adorable to play, puzzles were a bit easy I guess, but that subjective. The game is so coherent and nice to play. Solid entry !

Wow, the controller is so tight and well designed. Good job, I could definitely tryu to speedrun this. Also very good take on the theme, and the little "puzzle" moments were really cool to understand. Great inspiration for me, as my controller wasn't so good on my game. Good job ! Loved it

Fun game ! I finished it first try :) A nice take on the Islander style. There is already so much depth and build possibilities. Very good job on such a short time !

Always a good time doing the clicker games in any jam :D It feels very satisfying to clear the table and everything is nicely put together. Maybe the sound of the piece was a bit too high for me. But nice entry for this jam ! good job !

Thanks for the feedback ! Yeah I really let the post processing part aside as I was rushing at the end. But it could add a lot the experience I agree !

Thanks a lot, It's so cool knowing people got to the end !

Well done ! I couldn't get past wave 15, the odd and even was too hard to grasp with all the other rules for me :D The cutting sound is super satisfying, great job !

Beautiful. The aesthetic and audio really put the experience together. Didn't see the difficulty settings so it was definitely too easy, a ramping difficulty could really adds up to the game. Also hard for me to write in qwerty. Even if I change the settings in my computer I couldn't play azerty. I'm sure i'm a minority, but I don't think it would be too hard to implement as a setting. Anyway, very good game, good job !

Such a good aesthetic. Very smart take on the theme. I love the preparation for the big boss, which is so beautiful. Really well done, everything is to well done and well put together. Very inspiring. Good job !

I was maybe too prepare on my second run ahah, anyway I could definitely more wave of boss with small preparation before each one. Solid entry !

I love this idea, it was so cool and nicely put together. Lovely art direction, the hand drawn style is perfect and very smooth. It's also perfect that the level chains together like this. It s super satisfying. Well done. Only thing was it was a bit laggy on my computer sadly. But great entry good job !

Fun game, smart mix between pinball and roguelike. The aesthetic is neat, and love the eroded sounds that goes with it. Might need a bit more depth but I already add fun with the modifiers already there. Good job !

😭I'm so sorry for you, it looked very good. <3

Thank you so much for your kind words 🙏 I was actually trying your game while you wrote this :D It was so good too. Your expedition could be my game (minus the zombies) ahah

Great game ! It is a bit oscur at first, but you get to understand more and more as you go.

I couldn't get rescue but my best run I wasn't so far away (10 days left maybe).

Anyway, art direction, narrative and mood are definitely there. Controls could be friendlier but it was really nicely done. So much work done in such a short notice good job team!

❤️Thanks a lot

Simple, and super efficace. Easy to pick up, polished enough to look like a real thing. Great entry good job !

This so cool and poetic. The artwork is stunning, the concept is lovely,  and actually engaging. I had a fun ride to grandma. Thanks !

Interesting take on the theme ! I had trouble understanding the logic at first, but when I got it it was actually easy to pick up. Maybe not my favorite control mapping just. Art is cool, concept is fun, good job !
