Neat concept, though it often ends up boiling down to standing somewhere, holding the button, then dying, and could be further improved if timing was more crucial more often. Still, very cool idea, and especially neat aesthetic.

Some nice puzzles, was really enjoyable after figuring out how the ghosts worked.

I was a bit confused at first, but the game quickly became a lot of fun. The ghost mechanic is really cool and very well used throughout the levels. I also really liked the music!

Thank you! I definitely should have made the track longer but I'm glad to hear it stands well as it is

Very fun game, Love the mechanic of the dead ghost.  One thing I would nitpick on it that having an interact sign when I close to the button would be nice. Other then that good job dude

Developer(+1)

there is actually an interaction prompt but it doesn't render correctly in the browser. the downloadable version displays it correctly, though, and it annoys me that that's the case. thanks for playing!

This was super awesome!! I loved the initial aha moment of figuring out what is going on, the puzzles are really interesting and the aesthetics are super charming!! This is a neat and polished little puzzle experience that was really fun to go through!

oh hey, thanks! im glad you enjoyed it. we developed things kinda backwards (or i guess i did) and i put a lot into feel and such before we got the core mechanics but im glad it wasnt for nothing lol.

Being limited in the number of ghost you can make, and the fact that that using certain death spots blocks the makes this a more interesting looping death puzzle.

I kind of wish the timer was more precise for planning the more complex loops.

There's a minor bug on the web rendering that makes the "E" prompt look like an F. (I think the bottom line of pixels gets cut). It's probably worth just doing a small patch for that so you don't get stuck if you didn't read the instructions properly.

Developer

thanks, and yep thats fair. the timer was one of the last things added and does need some better precision. the web rendering stuff is just a result of us lacking testing on the webgl version since again we did that last second, and unfortunately i didnt take into account some rendering quirks there, so the pixels get squished down

Reminds me of an old flash game I used to play way back in the day, which I loved. Good theming here with a good core mechanic, very fun!

Tysm! The initial brainstorm was definitely difficult from the vague theme but good thing it worked out in the end :)

The idea of having a timer to die to turn into a ghost is really creative

Developer(+1)

thanks! the timer wasnt in the orginal vision but we realized we had to for technical reasons

This is really creative. I like puzzle games like this. Thanks 😊

:)

One of the best "echo" game of the jam. The puzzle were so fun to solve

As the game's primary level designer, I'm thrilled to read this! I always worry with level design, since if you look at my past jams, I have a history of, ah... making the games too difficult. Glad to know that these puzzles were much better!

Fun puzzle game with nice vibes. Makes good use of the looping concept.

Developer

Much appreciated! It was difficult to make puzzles that felt clever yet still sparked a bit of deeper thought; glad you thought it turned out well!
