If you have implemented the modifier, how have you done so?
On surface a 2d platformer but figuring out the UI is the game instead

Any additional information for voters?
I worked on this alone besides assets I found on the web.

A confusing experience but fortunately I am expert in pressing/clicking things until something happens!

Overall I didn't find this too bad, the one area I have complaints is in the final section trying to offload the workers. It felt like I had pressed every combination, and even when I found a valid combo it still took multiple tries to find success.

I actually found this pretty clever beside that, but then I also enjoyed all the Rise Of the Golden Idol DLC so maybe I'm a sucker for punishment and combining things until it works lol.

Ultimately I enjoyed this as a nice short experience, and in larger jams I enjoy shorter games. Good work!

Wow that was indeed tricky! Though actually I'd say the 'platformer' was the easy part 😂

I definitely had no idea whatsoever what was going on in the  final stage. Eventually I managed to just fumble the buttons enough to show the win  screen. The platformer stages were actually really cool! Working out how the different actions worked there was definitely really intersting!

Overall this is a really fun concept! Also pretty snazzy credits roll! Good entry!

bit of a confusing experience. took a bit of ‘hitting random buttons to figure things out’, but I was eventually able to succeed. not sure if I enjoyed it or not tbf

It's a really interesting concept, but I feel it's too obtuse for a casual puzzle game player like me. Which is the point, and maybe some players would like it, but I basically ended up hitting random buttons. The first level wasn't too hard, the second I trialled-and-errored my way through, but the third level I had no idea how to even approach.

I recognize the background music, it's low-effort, but honestly that fits with the jam. The art, I don't know, it's very cute, although it's also low-effort (are those Kenney assets?).

The Idea is pretty good, having to figure out the controls and what everything does as a puzzle and then using that to solve the platformer.  Some more levels expanding that idea would've been great, especially a little longer levels that are a little harder to beat.

The last level felt pretty confusing and out of place to me though.

Great idea that's missing some more levels.

yea I found expanding on the idea without making it overly complicated to be pretty tough.  So I tried with switching genres around instead.  Hopefully would have been better with some more variety.

Finally a game that teaches the controversy: green crystals power Van de Graaff generators, and red rocks make power lines!

this is truly one of the videogames of all time
