This is such a clever idea! And some really interesting gameplay! The fact that you added a comment about the lvl 1 'bug' also saved me a lot of hassle so thank you for that :)
Really great game, congrats!
Such an awesome idea! I'm only good enough to get sort of close to finishing level 2. But I think it is a really great gameplay loop and very intuitive :)
It's nice to see a level editor being featured in a game-jam entry. I had fun!
Nice aproach to the theme! I feel like the in-game art and the menu art do not really fit together and I miss some background music. But nonetheless good concept!
A creative and promising puzzle game with engaging core mechanic!
Very cool idea I liked it a lot. My only complaint is the art which doesn't really seem to match. Besides that is this game absolutely amazing it has a bunch of potentional!
Really fun game, and really impressed with the mechanics implemented in such a short time, well done!
Really impressed that you made a level editor, and also thought the puzzle aspects were great. Big fan and excited to see where it could go!
I really liked the puzzle mechanics and what you can do with them and I ADORE the art style, it's amazing. Would love to see a full game come from this
I mean the game definitely needs a reset button and the ability to move/delete objects, and audio would absolutely help. Though the puzzle mechanics are very interesting and very fun to work out! Like with a lot more polish and built in levels this would be an amazing game! The core gameplay loop is there!
Creative game, would definitely be much better with audio. The lack of a deletion tool made tweaking my design difficult.
nice use of the them, feel like there a interesting concept here if you decide to further develop this I think this could become a interesting game. Loved the design of the main character though and think the artstyle for it is quite cute.
I really hope this game gets an update or more development!! I can tell it can grow into something just by how much fun I had in the level editor. I can't really think of too many games submitted to jams that gift a level editor to the player so I'm already very happy. Wonderful artwork as well! :)
Really clever use of the theme! I think you've addressed most of the bugs I also ran into. It was a little tricky trying to figure out the exact way to put the loops together, I think if you were to make more levels, I would put a few more easy ones to help the player get used to how the different pieces interact with the character.
Great execution of your idea nonetheless!
Lots of potential if you were to add more levels, 96 hours really isn't enough to come up with a lot of puzzles. I think I found a unique way to be level 3. Not sure if there is more than one way to beat each level but I don't think the way I found is the intended way. Great work nonetheless!
Yeah, we all were able to only do about 48 hours at most as well - I'd hoped that if the level editor was robust then we could churn out levels really quickly, but we didn't really have non-edit mode working until the final 2 hours, and by then there were only a couple of us free who were too busy fixing bugs. We might do a postjam update though, because I think it's one of those designs where you can start to discover cool interactions the more you play around.
Here's the third level as I built it, interested to see if your solution is different!
(spoilers)
Yeah mine was a lot weirder than that, it includes sending one character forward and one backward on the first loop by using the binary switch and reversing the momentum.
I love the concept, took me a while to figure out i needed to place a loops on the other objects. 3rd level was trickery but i eventually got it. great job, way to fit the theme!
This has an interesting concept, had a lot of fun planning out how to collect the stars. I just wished we could see more levels. I thiink adding stuff like budget/cost will make the gameplay more interesting. Lots of potential there!
It's an interesting idea that has a lot of potential. I would perhaps be a little more forgiving with the star detection, but it's still cool to come up with your own solutions.
fun concept but extreeemely hard! the artstyle is really cute and it's so sad that the audio didn't work, i want to hear the music you made!
Lovely artstyle and interesting idea.
As a prototype it's very solid. I like it.
