This is a really interesting concept, a real twist on everything we’re so used about racing games. I really like it, I just don’t quite get how the prologue fits the racing, I guess the world exploded and everyone went mad max? Pretty awesome overall.

Wow this is great, I love the mood and the mechanics. I don't think I've ever played game that emphasizes the mechanics of actually driving like this before.

The driving is really fun, nice game!

INCREDIBLE!

I love the driving and shooting mechanic, loading and shooting someone is just sooo satisfying in this game!
At the same time, I am a bit overwhelmed though, it's very difficult at the start (and I might want more shotgun shells ^^'), but in general I think it's a great game jam entry!

I haven't gotten to drive stickshift in years, let alone while blasting a shotgun out the window. 10/10 dreams fulfilled.

I came back here the second time man. Im really loving the race, and things you do. Masterpiece, 10/10 IGN 😁

1st race: "Why is everyone faster than me? I'm in 5th gear and I feel like I'm driving in a school zone."

After some speed upgrades: "OK, this time, I'll maybe just try to shift into 2nd gear for the challeng- and I'm in the wall!"

It takes some time to get the hang of it, but once you get in there, it's really fun! The graphics are very well done too, all it needs is some audio to pump up the races and it'll be close to a perfect submission! Excellent job! =D

I liked the whole setting, and the controls are very creative. But it was too hard for me to progress :(

Cool vibes, but I honestly cannot get behind the kinds of control this game impose on you lol. Not only that, the hitboxes on things seem to be too unforgiving for an already clunky game by design, As other said, I do feel it's kinda nicer when you got some upgrades, but I honestly can't get behind the design that forces you to just lose as soon as you can in the first few runs.

Loved that driving control of car, well made! Atmosphere is soaking into you while playing!

All the game art matches the UI and HUD menu art! That is very rare in a game jam entry. The game also fells nice and after you get the hang of the controls it's really fun! Nice work!

Also I'd appreciate feedback on my submission if you get a chance!

Worked surprisingly well! And I liked that the upgrades felt like big changes quickly. Really nice work!

I was instantly terrified as soon as I saw those controls lol. For this complexity I think it actually does pretty well, I mainly feel that the lack of feedback and ability to understand how well you're doing in the race is the real issue. The incentive and the path to doing better is very obscure to me even after getting a handle on the controls. This isn't bad - the way the controls work is built into the game - it's just gotta make up for it with a lot extra.

I loved the theme of the game, but the gameplay is really unintuitive. I'm pretty sure its just because I suck at racing games, but it would be helpful to have a better tutorial segment. Still, I feel like it didn't really implement the theme well, but the narrative and art style is great, I just wish the engine sounds were a lot louder and some background music would add to theme. I personally didn't like the upgrade grind to get to the fun parts of the game, but thats just my preference. If you were to develop this into a bigger game, I think you would really need to develop that feeling of speed, whether that be through audio, VFX, or changing the way the game plays, because that(and the upgrade grind) is really holding back what I think is an incredible core game. By the way, you can check out and rate my game, Happy New Year. It's a time loop based take on the top down hack'n'slash genre. Once again, this a great core concept, but it could do with some improvement.

Complex creation, wow, so much during one game jam. I am impressed.

Cool game mechanics: 1 hand for everything. Shifting is somehow fun (I do sim racing with manual paddles at steering wheel and this is different cool).

Very very nice car graphics.

And ... "Fried chicken"

CONGRATuLATIONS!

Great artwork and clever concept! The controls were hard but once you get used to them, it's super fun. The gear shift is kinda weird in my opinion, needs some tweaks. Still, amazing game!

Interesting concept!!

Wow, that was hard! Great job!

Amazing entry! Takes a while to get used to the controls but it's really fun to have to juggle between everything. Had trouble at the beginning with the gun, after a while I realised it needed to be loaded to be able to pick it up. Maybe make it so you're can still grab it empty or something telling you to load it first? But very impressive jam game!
