How does your game fit the theme?
The safe answer is it's a roguelike game where the gameplay keeps looping. The meta answer is that inspiration is like a loop: people make things that inspire people to make things that inspire people to make things... One of the main reasons I got back into gamedev after 6 years was because Balatro is one of my favourite games and I was inspired by a youtube video about the story of Balatro's creation; this game is my love letter to Balatro, made in the same engine, Love2D. Maybe one day I will inspire someone the same way the amazing people in the gamedev community have inspired me, I really enjoyed making this game so I hope you enjoy playing it :)

2 royalty free music tracks from Peritune.com, a set of minesweeper tiles by FrostC from OpenGameArt which were modified (and inspired all the other art). All other art and the sounds were made by me.

its cute and fun
Thanks!
I found this super fun and it's impressive that we have so much content within 4 days! I really think it promising!
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it :D
The amount of content in this game is simply incredible for a jam game! So MUCH STUFF! It make it fun to play over and over again! Really great work! I had to jerk myself away from it to rate other games and I will be coming back! I hope you will make it to top 100! Good luck brother!
Also I'd appreciate feedback on my submission if you get a chance!
Thank you for the kind words, I really appreciate it! I'll check out your game later :)
I spent too much time on this one ahah ;p
Congrats, that was pretty addictive, nicely done!
I'm glad you liked it!
As a minesweeper lover this game has some pretty cool upgrades, definetly adds more room for strategizing. I wish there was some music, cuz the art is really fun but there's nothing funky playing in the background to complement it. Really good game!
I'm glad you enjoyed it! There is music in the downloadable version but I couldn't get it to work in the browser version in time, I wanted to use the same engine that Balatro was made in but it doesn't really export to web very well.
I loved your version of minesweeper!
Thanks, I'm glad you like it :)
I suck at minesweeper, that's for sure
But this one is good, great job!
Thanks!
Great idea for a roguelike, as a minesweeper enjoyer I love this. Amazing that it's done in the same engine as Balatro as well, truly an homage. Amazing job!
Thanks :D
Hey that's a really cool spin on the score-chaser/roguelike mechanics!
I got really unlucky in the beginning and hit two bombs in a row a couple of times before I got going properly, so my only piece of feedback for the future would be to have something to try and help the player get fully started, but maybe I'm just that unlucky! XD
I love these kinds of roguelike/deckbuilder games, and we built a deckbuilder for jam game so would love to hear your feedback if you wanted to try our game too!
Thanks for the kind words! I appreciate the feedback about the start, thanks for sticking with it and giving it a fair try though. I'll check out your game now :)
Very unique idea and cool take on the loop theme. I love the spin-off of minesweeper I enjoying playing it a lot.
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Yes! This is a great mashup of Minesweeper as a roguelike. The scoring system working with multiplier upgrades is pretty neat (I still haven't played Balatro, but I get that's the inspiration :). Great execution and nicely polished! Put it for sale already.
Thank you for the kind words :D I appreciate it!
Hey, thanks for checking out our game! This was a really cool take on the classic minesweeper. I remember my dad used to play it a lot when I was a kid and never understood the game until now haha, but now I see why he used to play it a lot, it's really addictive.
Thanks for the kind words, I'm glad you liked it :D
Awesome stuff! Great and addicting Gameplay. Got lost at times with the extra features but overall, can be expanded to a Balatro-like, as other have mentioned, fun game.
I'm glad you liked it!
Quite a fun adaptation of minesweeper !
Glad you like it!
Nice adaption to minesweeper, definitely a game that was in serious need of a balatro-esque makeover visually which you delivered in full! The rogue-like twist is also very clever!
Thanks I appreciate the kind words :)
Interesting take on minesweeper, really addictive! I think this could definitely be developed into a full game that I would be interested in playing. :)
I'm glad you liked it so much :D
A neat take on a classic, though early levels regularly come down to chance before tools come online to help which can be a touch frustrating given the lack of an initial reveal region.
Overall a fun title and lovely tribute! welcome back and thanks for sharing :)
I'm glad you liked it! All the kind comments make me happy to be back :)
I think I was so young when I first tried Minesweeper that I never really understood the rules, so I had to call my husband to teach and backseat me in this one, lol. But just like with Balatro (didn’t know a thing about poker either), it turned out to be really fun once I got the hang of it. The game has a very polished feel overall, great job!
Thanks, I appreciate the kind words!
Seeing the shop after the first round made me excited to play minesweeper again for the first time in a long while. Great job!
Thanks :)
Very neat idea and approach to the theme. I agree with others that the difficulty curve was steep in order to get rolling on upgrades, etc. I enjoyed trying it, nice job!
Thanks for the feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
