I like the art, but the game itself is too complex without a guide xd

I'm really impressed by the fact that you managed to implement this whole game during jam. It's so smart and engaging - you need multiple iterations to figure things out, but you doesn't get bored, because every time you can discover something new. Great job!

Submitted

This is insanely smart and fun. I have no time to finish it right now, but I will be sure to revisit it after the jam!

This is really clever. I had to spend a lot of time to figure out what's happening though maybe more hints would have been aprreciated or maybe i'm just dumb.

Developer

There could definitely be more to help the player understand what's going on. It's a fine line though because we do want the player to explore and discover how things interact together for themselves. It's hard to balance it during the jam, but we could have spent more time to figure it out.

Loved the game, got all the chests, found the puzzles really clever and creative, nice job.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Glad you had fun.

Really cool idea, like if “Little Alchemy” was a puzzle game! (I did seem to find myself blowing things up a lot by accident.) Love the email system as a lore distribution mechanism.

Submitted

Lots of depth really cool game with tons of interactions that kept me playing for awhile!

Love the puzzle sandbox approach! Good mechanics, keeps us guessing and engaged. Sorry Gary!

Submitted

Wow this is kinda like a sandbox game, really cool dude!

this was such an interesting idea! i'm sure there are so many more object interactions i didn't find, can't imagine all the thought that went into those interactions. very cool!

Submitted

Love the idea of randomly generating objects and how it is different for each player, reminds me of old minesweeper in a way, bravo!

Very creative, but it was super confusing playing with a different layout than QWERTY :) maybe something to consider in the future. Good job nonetheless!

Developer

If you click the cog in the bottom left you can change the layout to Dvorak or Colemak layout at the very least. Could've prompted the player for their choice before the game starts for sure

Submitted

Ohh, I haven't even seen that cog honestly! Thanks for pointing that out, I'll have to replay it then :)

I managed to get halfway. It's an intriguing idea with not a lot of obvious results. Interactions left vague and the constraints not really made obvious. Beyond spamming the reset key, I'm not really sure how the "loop" plays into things. I did quite like the organic reveal of some things as you placed them down, just not enough interesting scenarios were born naturally out of the objects - which feels like it should have been the first priority. Very creative and plays well for its concept on a fundamental level.

This is genius! Always curious and fun to find new combinations.

Though I don't completely understand the reason keys are randomized and why I cant press them with mouse.

Developer(+1)

The randomized keys comes from the thought of could it be interesting to have everyone's controls be different and the player has to learn and discover them. Where two players couldn't just say here's the route and use q->e->w to solve it. You still have the oh use bomb->this->that, but the player has to discover the buttons themselves. We really just wanted to see what that would be like and experiment a little.

Clicking on keys would be problematic with how it's currently implemented since most things spawn at the cursor, but we could have made it work, and wouldn't be a bad idea to have. Thanks for playing!

I see, thanks. Also puzzles are good and clear enough. Though reminds me the old point-and-click games
