Its so rare to hear actual voices! It was fun

Hahahaha, fun take on the theme!

Nice to see another game with voice acting, and a lot of voice lines at that! The woman characters were mixed rather quietly. The audio levels were a bit inconsistent in general but that's a minor nitpick, having voice acting in a jam game is impressive enough as it is.

The whole "trading items back and forth" thing reminds me a lot of The Legend of Zelda and The Lampshade of no real significance, which was always one of my favourite flash games.

Fun, quick little game!

Fun game! I really enjoyed this! The voice acting was amazing. Great work!

Pretty interesting take on the theme. I enjoyed just playing through this adventure, fetching game (kinda reminds me of some old Flash games). Although I won't lie, I still didn't understand the story after I got to the credits. Also small nitpick on the story bits (MINOR SPOILER) is why would the janitor has knowledge of all the things that he asked of you in his quiz?

The visuals is good, and I understand that you used premade assets. The thing is I found it a bit out of place where it's such a low resolution arts, yet your characters can move in sub-pixel position, makes it looks a bit out of place.

The voice acting is of course a very nice feature, not seen in many jam games, so I enjoyed it, although I did enjoy some more voice work than the others.

This was a great take on the theme.  And I love the artwork.

Very very sweet. Great narrative, loved that I had to figure it out on my own and it was very smart way to think of the theme! The art style was maybe not the strongest but your design made it work super well. Juniper is sweet! I wish we had more levels and a longer story!

Great job!

Short and sweet game! I think playing as someone who is out of the loop (which imo is a valid interpretation of the theme) is pretty fun, I liked the reveal (if I understood the story correctly?) at the end and the voice acting was amazing.

Lovely artstyle, loved the voice actors haha, and I like the interior design as well ! However I wish i could understand the final goal or the plot behind all of it, maybe I missed something haha

Sounds to me like you're... out of the loop. ;)

I've really enjoyed the game, it's really fun with the voice lines and all. I must admit i do not see how you've used the theme, but the game seems really cool and well made.

Only nitpick comment would be about the character sprites not being transparent, it takes a bit out of the game, but if that's the only complain one can have I'd say that's pretty good.

Thanks! And yeah, the theme was a bit of a stretch. You play as someone who’s “out of the loop” (i.e. you don’t know why you’re there or what you’re supposed to do).

And yeah the asset pack had transparent sprites and non-transparent ones. I started with the transparent ones and it was actually really hard to see the grey sprites in the jail. So I opted for the black-box ones just to make it super obvious where people were.

If we made a V2, we’d definitely just redo the art or get a different pack lol

Thank you so much for playing!

Great game, really had fun solving all those riddles.

Not bad at all it would have been twice as enjoyable if the field sprites were more distinguishable (everyone looked the same). Sometimes multiple dialogue audio files played at the same time but it's not that big a deal it's funny

Cool graphics and finished the story without too much trouble, kind of reminded me of old Point&Click adventures :)
Nice touch with the voices as well

Looks like you guys had a lot of fun making this! especially with the story and voices, really cool!

Peet made me laugh, you can tell he's been in the cell with that guy for too long haha. You must have had a lot of fun getting the people together to make this. I like the music and the art style, not sure about the black boxes around the characters though, I'm guessing that's an alpha issue. Good job!

I wish I had Welcome Cheese. Nice job, I like the art and voiceovers!

This is a really cute game! It's basically a series of fetch quests, but the voices and characters are very charming. I had a lot of fun playing it!

A short, simple game with a medieval atmosphere
