How does your game fit the theme?
Beating the game on the first run is very difficult, you need to die multiple times, doing multiple loops to get enough upgrades to make winning doable.

(Optional) What would you like to be called if GMTK features your game?

I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the combat impressed me  it feels smooth and reminds me of classics like Crossed Swords 😁

Saw the thumbnail and decided to play this some day after the jam. I regret not playing it sooner. This game transformed my perception of reality. Maybe I am simply a small NPC in the world about Colins.

All that said, recording every single moves & animations and putting them into a game is amazing. The movements felt really responsive and fun, and the transitions between two videos are really smooth! Amazing and hilarious idea for a game.

I felt bad that there is no average score, because some teams aimed for all categories, not just one. So I just scrapped the results page and made a table. I agree with Mark that "Overall" is questionable, but I still think "Average" is a valuable score, so I decided to share it.

I might have to get into the colin-like genre after this. Revolutionary

It's fun and silly, but I don't know how it got #3 in enjoyment, especially with only 13 ratings. Like I did enjoy it, but more than 9600 other games?

(fun game btw)

wasn't 100% sure what to expect but I was impressed how good the combat felt. very reminiscent of Crossed Swords, Punch-Out, and those sorts of games in a very good way. the FMV virtual hydelide-type aesthetic was charming and worked with the game well. attacks felt telegraphed enough to where I could react. overall the mechanics felt very competent, and the only pain point is that I didnt realize you had a limited amount of blocks.

lmao @ the ending, very relatable.

I LOVE YOUR GAME, 5 STARS ALL THE WAY

Genuinely really amazing. I absolutely love retro style games and FMV is so wonderful to see. The combat was fun, and it never felt to challenging. I went all in on damage and within two deaths, I was 3-hitting the bosses so that's a little OP, but I had a lot of fun. Great work!

I can become one punch man. 10 colins out of 10, ( spoilers)

Genuinely amazing, maybe just slightly janky but the FMV and atmosphere absolutely makes up for it. I've had a blast playing this.

Incredible! Never seen anyone do something like this for a game jam! The combat was actually well made. The directional dodging was good. The tells were clear, with not too easy but not too tight windows.

Some things I did find odd. The upgrade menu being inaccessible in gameplay is odd. I defeated the first enemy, went to upgrades, and had to defeat him themselves. The stagger mechanic was functional, but didn't add much with the combat as it is. It was a bar that also went down like health. Being able to spam attack during it was fun though.

Very funny! I liked it a lot. Putting yourself in the game was a very cool idea!

This is absolutely increible. I hope this gets served to more people because it's not only super funny but also surprisingly fun and responsive.
