Wow, how can I even explain this? At first, when I opened the game, I couldn’t help but laugh at the art style, it instantly reminded me of South Park, which I thought was pretty funny and lighthearted. I was expecting a goofy little experience, but then the story slowly started to unfold, and it really caught me off guard. It goes from silly-looking to surprisingly deep very quickly.
The setting of the mansion is great, seriously, what’s with all those clocks? It added this strange, almost unsettling atmosphere that kept me on edge, and it fit perfectly with the mystery vibe. As the characters started showing up, I found myself second-guessing everyone. Each one felt like they could be a suspect, which kept me hooked the whole time. Well, everyone except the “dumb crazy child”, that character was so over the top that I couldn’t take them seriously, and it added a nice bit of humor in between the tension.
And the ending? Absolutely unmatched. It really surprised me, in the best way possible, and it made the whole playthrough feel worth it.
Overall, it’s a unique game that plays with expectations in the best way, and I had a lot of fun experiencing it from start to finish.
