Really good game. I like the introduction part and the different chests. Chest la vie fits the theme very well.
Thank you so much! We wanted to add background images during the introduction to depict what was happening but we ran out of time, however we plan to add this as one of the future updated as soon as the jam is over
This game is really well put together the visuals are clean, the gameplay feels polished, and the concept is both simple and surprisingly deep. It’s one of those titles you try for a few minutes and end up playing much longer than expected because of how addictive it is. Some of the balance could use a tweak, but overall it’s a fun and impressive jam entry. Playing gems like this always reminds me of why I love jams, and I’d be glad if you also gave my own submitted game a try.
These kind words mean a lot to us! We really wanted to create a game that we ourselves would have had fun playing and we are very pleased with how it turned out. I totally agree that there is the need for some tweaking here and there and we are actually planning on some additional features once the jam is over, so any kind of suggestions/criticism is always welcome. I was thinking that a good improvement could be to add things similar to Buckshot Roulette, that game where you fight against an AI using some items and trying to guess whether the next bullet will work or not. In the same way, you could create a series of items inspired by that game to try to guess whether the chest is a mimic or not. With lots of functionalities, it would give the game wonderful replayability.

Very cool game. I will never look at a chest the same way again...it could be a mimic! I liked the aesthetic of the game, it kind of reminds me of a DVD game from my childhood. Gameplay loop is fun and polished. Overall, I had a great time playing. Well done dude, be proud :)

Fits the theme perfectly! Very good game although i don't really know what is a mimic and what's not and the timer concept is kind of weird in my opinion. Still a very well made game

Good concept, good gameplay but I don't understand how figure out mimic I looking chest 2 same chest one of them mimic other one is normal I really understand but love the game idea. Good Job!

Really polished and cool game! It's really addicting.
My only minor nitpick is that the nat 20 are too good, so getting a highscore is mostly about rolling nat 20 and not performance.

Such a simple concept, yet at the same time such a surprisingly complex idea. It’s one of those games that you pick up thinking it’ll just be a quick try, and suddenly you realize you’ve been playing for way longer than expected. It’s really addictive.
