Playtest note, from morphydorph (the Today, I'm Going Ghost Hunting entry) This game is a nice casual game. maybe too casual for me because it's really easy, after wave 6 you basically can just take a nap. doesn't really provide a challenge after that.
And the Relics (are they called that) can you skip them? or is it an intended feature. it's annoying that you have to give up a good relic for a bad one. and the Sound effects were good. but some of them are WAY too loud. (The Wizard Tower.....) And the Music and SFX sliders don't work.

From a first playthrough. The game feels really slow. the rate at which you gain relics and dices makes it grueling to get really into the game. enemies are also really tedious to fight, watching the counter slowly add up points while i doze off to sleep. each item you buy doesn't really have that much Impact on your score. i know you need a lot of them to make crazy chain reactions but by that point i would have probably been playing for 2 hours.
The main point i have is to make the game feel Faster. and make items more impactful. each time i go into battle i want it to "Feel" different. also the dices having Health is very weird imo.
Sorry if i was a little rough, Hope my feedback helps you improve the game.
Well, after the previous commenter suggested that. I changed the controls from pressing Space to The left and right Mouse buttons. Is it still that inconvenient? Also are the controls not being responsive because your game isn't running smoothly. I'll look into some optimizations i guess. thanks for the short review.
Hi thank you for the Review. the gameplay i saw really helped me identify the issues.
I saw you fat finger the backpack quite a lot of times. maybe I'll add a windup so you have to hold the key to open it.
you talked about the blaster swapping being on the right click. and i totally agree. i did not think of that at first.
The GUI can be edited in the settings with UI scaling and UI transparency. i can add more features like the one you suggested
for the music. yeah it's kind of scummy. the leitmotif is just used way often. maybe i can make it a bit more subtle.
enemies dealing high damage is intentional. but i can reduce the damage for now.
yes there are items that increase it's speed / distance. the dash is pretty much required for bosses and evading high damage. it does not give you invincibility when dashing.
dashing through doors is a hidden mechanic. but i can put it in the tutorial later on
Thank you for the review.
I feel the game is kind of leaning towards a target demographic rather than most people. The swapping of Tools need a bit to get used to but maybe i could make the ghost get revealed faster than normal. or bind the tool swapping to the Left-Right mouse buttons.
The stat icons being a mystery is kind of intentional. kind of a discovery-esque game. some people like it some people don't. but i'll add some text saying what they do
And the shop thing. i did make a tutorial for it. but did the tutorial not play for you? i'll maybe go check that. you are supposed to press Q when near a glowing item to put it in your backpack.
Pretty nice puzzle game. Nothing really outstanding it's just a puzzle game. maybe a bit more effects to spice the game up a bit and maybe make the placing of cats more satisfying. I feel it gets boring really quickly. it's like a mobile game you play when you have nothing else to do. maybe that's what you're going for.
I had trouble with understanding the game at first. But i seemed to figure it out. i think it introduces so many things to the player at once it feels overwhelming.
In my opinion i think the deck size should be reduced a bit. and the mechanics introduced at a smoother pace to ease the player into the gameplay.
I didn't really understand the customer mechanic, the global thing or the coin thing all too well.
I got to the boss and died cause my coins were sucked away by the wine modifier thing. and it feels pretty luck based, or can you actually time the slot machine to get what you want.
I think it would be better with more game events, tiles and a more straight forward gameplay system. of course this is just the Demo so I'm think asking a bit too much.
This is just my experience though so don't take anything too seriously. i don't really play deck builders all that much. A pretty Solid game overall😍💕🥰.
Thought it would be hard to understand. but i learned everything pretty quickly. pretty unique game of typing commands. but the time limit is really "forced in" in my opinion. if its a puzzle game it shouldn't be about speed. wish there were more commands and more ways of utilization. but that's far to ambitious for a 4 day jam so i get that. I had a decent amount of fun. Overall a great game.
After playing for a bit i somehow made 5x the money i started with. honestly i don't even know what i was doing most of the time. That's probably on me for not knowing how the stocks worked. i wish the money in game wouldn't just increase passively. makes it hard to see the progress and the impact you've made. i love the core concept tho. has alot of potential.
Love the game. very relaxing.it feels kind of luck based to hope for the bumpers to spawn in the correct positions. to counteract this you just have to buy 1 multiplier bumper and then just keep hitting that one bumper to get crazy scores. game could use a bit more variety in the upgrades but Overall a good fun game
Really weird game. love the art style. but the movement needs some time to get used to cause its diagonal ( maybe a click to move feature could be nice ). the exploring feels really luck reliant on you finding food and heath.( i think the vision range could be expanded a bit more ). also the upgrades feel very underwhelming.( maybe make them more impactful ). Overall i like it but i could be improved Upon.
Love the Art. Gameplay was a bit rough for me. It feels too reliant on luck. you'd have to reset the game a whole lot to get a run going. and the Rolling a 1 loses you a roll is very weird (it shouldn't imo because a 1 roll can snowball into higher tally's). i think it would be better if you give players more starting rolls (maybe 5) so it isn't too reliant on luck. Overall the concept was really good but the gameplay Could be improved on.
Gameplay feels Really slow and just swimming around collecting chest that give minimal stat boosts doesn't make for exciting gameplay and The lack of audio makes it very boring too.
if i can make changes to the game i would've made the chest upgrades more impactful like maybe 15% or 20% per upgrade and increase the amount of enemies at the minimum. Great attempt though. Hope you improve in the Future and achieve your Dreams
