My favorite game this jam - and I played 80 of them. I’m biased because I love pico-8 games, but yours is super catchy! The gamefeel is great, art-style is on point, it was smart to show where the eggs are going to appear a bit ahead of time. Difficulty ramps up at the perfect pace along the game length! Likewise, it’s a smart game design decision to not have a health bar or a maximum number of hit but instead to include it in the final score and just give a small control loss penalty!

I really loved the art style of this game. The background looks sick and the controls are smooth. I like the difficulty curve. Aliens try to block the screen which is a bit hard when dodging them, but I still could catch all the eggs. I'm thinking that you can make the eagle grab the UFO and destroy it.

Really solid visuals, love the time of day you capture, the pixel trail etc. The concept is super goofy, and why are there ufos! haha love it.. 

Obv its a very simple gameplay loop.. I like the dash, and managed to catch all the eggs on my second play through, but then saw it kept track of my damages and realized if i was really a l33t gamer id get all the eggs while taking 0 dmg.

How would I expand it? I guess just add more things in the field with different effects, a few enemy variants, maybe some things you can fly through, etc. 

It's been a while since I've used pico-8 but this has to be up there for one of the best pico-8 games visually I've seen in a while! I've gotta get this on my little handheld, it's very enjoyable!
