The use of the seeds is so clever, and I really appreciated the little flower checkpoints. I was left stumped several times plotting ways to optimize the seeds. It felt very rewarding to maneuver around the map with the stocks.
The music and sound effects were also great choices. Fantastic work on this game!
very nice game. love the art the and the VVVV style. but I got quickly stuck when I ran out of seeds.
One of the best games I’ve played all jam — I’m a sucker for metroidvania games. The blooming mechanic felt well-implemented, the game didn’t need to explain anything, the art was good, and the music was nice without getting repetitive. This deserves a spot in the top five.
Very good game!! The art is very cute and I like the mechanic of bounce on flowers. I like too the retro-style and the selected two colors. Good job!!
If you want to try my humble game too ;)

Cute little puzzle game, though some area felt a bit too open for this kind of game? It got really confusing, like the game was trying to be both a metroidvania and a linear puzzle game at the same time.
Thanks for the feedback. I agree, it started out quite wide and I realised I needed to some difficulty so fell back to some linear more puzzley sections.
Some section in this game is quite confusing and/or seem nearly impossible to get pass. It feels like the core mechanic wasn't made for the game stage very well. I think it would be better if the player character have a slow falling speed, and the flower to not crush the player into the ceiling.
Anyway, I was able to complete the game. There are some really good artwork and music in this game. Good job.
Cool bouncy flowers! If there was an ending, I couldn't find it, which made collecting everything feel a bit anti-climactic. Let me know if missed something. Other than that, great! Good feeling weighty jumps and good animation.
There's an ending but it's just an "you win" screen so you didn't miss much. You have to collect 20 seeds to win. Others have had confusion with this and I should have made this more obvious as it is only said once.
[just replayed my footage -- "collect all 20!" i forgot about this... and the NPC didn't talk to me again after to remind me. I guess I was somewhat close at 15?]
Thanks for doing the video. It is really helpful to see exactly how I can improve on my onboarding/design!
i love the look and how the movement feels! especially when you jump right after planting a flower and it launches you really high, really reminds me of the momentum from moving platforms in celeste. the rooms are also designed quite well although there are some ways to cheese them. epic game
Very good concept. Got stuck at one place because I ran ut of seeds (maybe I just missed something).
Fun game with interesting mechanics, simple but perfectly executed, nice job!
Great game! It's very well polished, the movement is very smooth and satisfying. You managed to use the theme very well in the game. Good job xD
Great game!!! I think this entry will won this JAM!
by the way, i got stuck in the wall in the left upper part of the map :(
A wonderful idea with equally great execution! The movement feels smooth and satisfying, and the art style, while simple, fits the game perfectly. On top of that, it manages to offer a surprisingly long playtime for a game jam entry. Definitely one of my favorites in this jam, congratulations !!
The mechanic was very fun, and I loved the bouncy artstyle. This game had me more captivated than I expected, but after exploring the whole map and getting like 15 seeds I had no idea what to do with all of them lol. I feel like the room transitions were a small bit annoying, because there were points where I was trying to do some precise timing but the room transitions kept throwing me off. Still, this was very well polished and I found minimal bugs. Maybe add a quick tutorial line though that if you hold down and jump, you can fall through a platform? I didn't figure that out until halfway through.
Great job!
Loved the mechanic and art style here! I'd be curious to see how your game would play differently if the terminal velocity for the player character was clamped or reduced during some of falling sections—the timing on some of those was really tricky to pull off!
That's a great idea. Thanks for the feedback! :)
I really like this game and mechanic. The art is nice and the music is great. There were a couple spots where I felt stuck, which was frustrating, but all in all I really enjoyed this one. Great work.
PS I literally got stuck in the ceiling at one point :p
