Haha, the birds were very annoying, i liked it! it took a few tries to learn to avoid them. Simple but enjoyable game.
Really liked the use of the clouds! Loved to see that they had a use!
The game was fun, but I think there a bit of a missed opportunity. The speed increase and the clouds slowing down was surprisingly fun because I was just try to fall faster and faster without being slowed, almost giving me a bit of a sonic vibe. However the obstacles took away from the speed which is fine but I think it would be fun enough just building up speed and polishing that part more.
Also a small tweak I would suggest would to have the box higher up the screen to allow the player more time to see enemies and move accordingly.
The art style is simple and works really well. Also I'm in love with that little bird sprites. They're adorable!
Overall a great submission!
Thank you for taking time to comment! I can think of a free fall mode, maybe where the player box can attack the birds by coming in contact with them, or maybe with further descent without any obstacles, the box will gain further momentum and then that acceleration would be the high score, or even be used to deal decisive blows to the birds. Possibilities are endless! Love to see the bird sprites getting some love :) About the box being higher, I'll work on that. Once again, thank you for your thoughtful comment!
A nice polished game - it worked fine for me! The art and concept are nice, and overall it's clearly well made - well done!
Thank you for playing and commenting! Love to see you liked the game so much!
Hello everyone, thank you for trying my game out!
I have seen some of your comments about the game not running, and I am so sorry for that :(
The game runs fine on my end, I am using a laptop, although when I ran it on my tablet/phone, the game runs into a death loop, similar to what Soothsayer and Hangarter have mentioned. I have uploaded a Drive Link to the gameplay. Gameplay Video
Please do let me know what other problems you have faced!
Encountering a bug where the screen scrolls faster than the box falls, I just instantly die :(
Like the art from what I can see!
I'm so sorry for that. I have seen this bug when I played it in my phone. But, if I play it on my computer, it works as intended.
the art is great its a very well made game!
Thank you for the complement, I wanted to do a monochrome retro style! Can you tell me how the game runs? I see a few people had a problem with running it, I hope it worked fine for you!
Yeah it worked fine for me maybe a crt monitor shader would be cool to give it more retro look!
That's a good idea!
the style of everything is great
Thank you so much! Can you tell me how the game runs? I see a few people had a problem with running it.
it seems to be stuck in a loop and I can't play. Will wait a bit before rating :)
Hmmm, weird, can you describe what's exactly happening? Thank you for playing and commenting!
Good game on Godot. Why didn't you make it widescreen?
Thank you for replying. I wanted it to look like a retro game. Also, I had implemented a mechanic where you can loop laterally if you are out of the screen.
