Another thing I had forgotten to highlight (it was on loading screen tips but not guaranteed to show) was that sheeps move faster and stay closer the higher the moral
That’s a really ambitious game with a ton of features and even an open world. While the sound settings seemed a little buggy, it’s clear how much effort went into this, especially in such a short time. Great job!
thanks! the world has alot of fluff as there is a path for you to follow, so alot of it is traversible but theres nothing there. I didnt point out that the glowing marks are checkpoints but I needed to finish the packaging etc with enough time to submit so I didnt do anymore tutorial work.
The sound settings actually had music, ambience and sound effects but no time to classify the sounds so I just hid those in the menu.
I have some concurrency on the different category of sounds but there were still quite a few sources (wolf growling, howling, sheep bleating, ram scream when hit and all the hit fx) so sometimes the overlap would get loud
It's impressive the amount of things that this game has! Have to say that when it got dark you cannot see anything at all. I loved that you can get new abilities and fight different enemies. Good job!
yeah there's no moonlight so if you stray from the path into the bushes then its hard to see what's happening.
I added some bars to show where sheep are getting attacked at night tho.
Very nice game. Good idea fitting the theme, nice open world as well. Great ideas with the abilities. It was quite fun to play. Sometimes it was hard to keep track of the wolfs, the charge attack sometimes missed even if I aimed at the enemy in front of me and the night was in my opinion way too dark. I was practically just guessing where I was going and where enemies were. Maybe a little tutorial wouldn't be too bad of a idea, took me a little to figure out which way to lead the sheep's. But other that great work. The music and sfx were great as well.
Thanks! I always fall short on the tutorial aspect. The glowing shield thingamajig in the sky is a checkpoint that shows where to go next when you walk underneath it. The night was indeed too dark but I had only tested it along the path due to the amount of time. The charge attack was weird, it was a multisphere trace from the start of the dash to the end, and i added each person hit to an array so the same character woudnt get hit twice, but there were some instances where it wasnt triggering properly on the smaller wolves.
Nice see an open world game in the jam, this must've taken a lot of effort!
thanks! It did take a lot of effort but it was really fun!

Really gorgeous and runs really well! The customizability of settings was really nice too.
thank you! I always try to ensure I have customization in the jam games, or apply settings to medium by default because unreal defaults to high settings and I dont want anyone having issues running the game.
Once I worked out the controls, really enjoyed it. Great game.
Thanks! I put them on the main menu and the pause menu. Didnt want to clutter the HUD with all that info.
Glad you liked it!
the part where you can hear the wolves howling then the music kicks in right as you start to fight, so good!
Thanks! glad you liked it
Quite good. Well done! Congrats on the win!

lol the win is never guaranteed but thanks!
This is the Skyrim of the game jam, good fun. I used the same particles in my game.
Thanks! I tried to switch up on the theme instead of making it a regular food item, then designed around that.
