Very good game. I really like the concept. The OS system style was really cool.
I love games that simulate an OS system. Having made one in the past myself, I know how tricky it can get at certain points. This is a really good concept and the difficulty makes it even more engaging. Great job and be proud of what you created!
Cool game with a cool concept! The gameplay loop is fun, while simultaneously packing a challenge! Overall, I enjoyed this game. Well done dude, be proud :)
The concept is interesting and has a lot of potential. The core loop works, but it definitely feels like it could use some extra polish here and there to make the experience smoother.
The difficulty is a bit high at times, which can make the game stressful rather than engaging, and I think gradually feeding a story or adding more narrative elements could make it even more rewarding to progress. Some clarity on how the theme is being explored would also help the player connect more with the experience.
Overall, it’s a creative and solid entry congrats on getting it done in such a short time! If you’d like, you can also check out our game, it would mean a lot to us.
nice game, I would have liked to hear the music, I don't know if it's due to some bugs or I don't know what I would have liked to hear it though
Very good idea. But It get boring really fast. Having to constantly open and close files while new ones appear make it very hard to keep track of and having multiple rules for each folder makes it very confusing. I think introducing the rules little by little will make it easier to understand.
The game needs some more polishing, but for a short period of time it's understandable. I like the overall idea!
This is why I am unemployed
I think the idea has a lot of potential especially if it were to have a story that's fed to the player gradually, but the gameplay loop would be pretty fun if refined a little. I enjoyed it, I got to day 4
Thank you for the feedback. Much appreciated. Yes, I may continue working on it, and will add a story as well. I wanted to add some newsletters in between to give the player some hints about what was happening, but unfortunately didn't have time for it.
I liked the Severance vibe, mixed with papers please gameplay.
Feedback:
- The documents would close themselves before I had a chance to fully read them and it made playing quite frustrating.
- I think you're adding too much complexity too fast, already on level 2 it's really hard to keep track of all the requirements.
- The chromatic aberration effect makes it hard to read the date on the bottom left.
Thank you, will definitely keep this in mind.
Game is little hard and a bit stressing too lol :P. I didn't go past second level so I dont know if I missed something else other than harder requirements to sort people. I would like to know how you wanted to handle the theme in your game.
Congrats on your game jam game anyways
Thank you. Yeah, there is a reveal at the end of day five that should make the player question what they've been doing with the documents, and I felt that leaned into the theme. I also wanted to add some news snippets everyday to allude to what the player was doing as well, but I ran out of time for it.
The game was a bit confusing. It's not very comfortable to play such a game when there's text everywhere. Your pixel art was very cute, I liked it. Good Job!
Thanks for the feedback. What in particular did you find was confusing? Was it the rules? Or the gameplay perhaps?
The sentences are very long, and considering that there's text everywhere, it's very confusing. Think of the game Papers Please, where there's text everywhere, but the cities are simply shown on a map or simplified a bit by using images.
I got fired :(.
lmao
