I definitely button mashed after reading the comments mostly so I could appreciate the game a little longer. One thing I noticed is that the animation of the note hit on time vs the animation of the note hit at the wrong time is the same. It would be helpful to the player to have some visual distinction for when the note is hit right on time, like a brighter flash, a change in color, or some little tweak like that. Overall, nice work!
We will def try to implement a perfect though I'm not sure how hard that would be for the programmer. Thanks for the feedback!
the art is really nice there are some issues But the comments coverd them for me lol i will say that you did great job and hoping to see the game fixed near future to play
I appreciate it! We def crunched a lot last minute and it resulted in a botched launch. But you live and you learn! We definitely plan you fix everything and make it playable in the future!
good luck guys 馃ス
I have 2 issues. But it could be just me.
1. The game screen is small like 1/4 of full screen.
2. I keep pressing the corresponding keys when fairies enter the zone but nothing seems to react.
3. The fonts of each key look so fancy it's hard to read it.
4. There are too many keys to press! :')
Unfortunately at this state the game is unplayable for me. Cool arts tho.
Yea we kind of had a botched launch haha. We plan to fix a lot of the issues. About the screen size that may be a you thing having to do with your pc or browser you're using. I never experienced or heard of this issue until now. Unfortunately, the notes are half notes instead of on every beat so every note should be hit slightly delayed. For the keys, we plan to implement difficulties to make it easier for more casual players. It's currently on the hardest possible difficulty haha. I totally understand that it's unplayable for most people. I was bumping my head for a few hours trying to progress myself before I realized everything wasn't timed properly then I gave up. Thank you for giving it a shot!
You can spam all the buttons at the same time ;) Makes it a little too easy.
Cheater alert!!! Haha just kidding! I'm glad you had enough fun to find a strategy that worked for you. Most of us (myself included) just gave up haha.
also about the timing, we are currently learning there is an issue with godot and exporting rhythm games. Our singing notes are a half note delayed from where they're supposed to be. Should be able to fix this shortly after the jam. Since we were kind of working on something more complex than we're used to, some unexpected surprises occurred that we definitely weren't ready for.
Nice SFX! I can't survive for more than 10 seconds hahaha
Yeah the game is pretty difficult. We are working on making the game easier.
Having a vertical visual input and a horizontal player input really makes this difficult to play. It could have greatly benefited from a horizontal display, with the attacks coming from the top.
Same issue/opinion here
Thanks for the feedback. We are working on implementing a vertical version of the game.
