The first time I played, the king disappeared before I figured out how to throw flowers. I hadn't actually noticed that I'd been collecting them, a sound effect or animation would help. But seeing other comments from people who managed to play through, I tried again and got the win!

Fun quick game!

I really like the concept of using the collectables as weapons against the final boss! The platforming physics felt a little off to me, and it seemed like the character was teleporting around slightly instead of smoothly moving. Other than that, I really liked this game!

The graphics are really cute! I felt that the jumps was a little too floaty for me. but I liked the humor in the writing HAHA

Very fair, thanks for playing! I’m glad there was something to like haha 😆

Fun platformer! The controls are a bit floaty but I think it adds to the vibe overall

The resolution was super weird for me, even if I went fullscreen it would crop of a significant part of the screen, I ended up playing on browser mode and scrolling side to side. The lofi soundtrack was cool, but I also think SFX's would add to the experience. I think more could havve been added to the collecting part but that's understandable for the short development time. Maybe make the texboxes stay a bit more, as if I press E twice to make them display fully they go away super quick and waiting for them to unroll was a bit slow.

The pixel art was cute and added to teh atmosphere.

Had a fun short time with it!

thanks for playing and the great feedback! Appreciate it a lot :)

I'm not usually great at platformers, but this one felt pretty easy and straightforward! It had a cute sense of humour too. A little more feedback from the game on defeating enemies or collecting items would probably have enhanced the experience- but it sounds like that was more of a time crunch issue. I'm curious to see what this would become with a little more time for development~<3

The plot of the game was ridiculous, in a good way. I died a lot though because I'm bad at platformers.

Developer

HAHA 😆 I had to find some way to connect the collecting to defeating a boss 😭 I’m glad you enjoyed the ridiculousness and thanks for playing!

I like the music, the minimal art style, and the plot lol

Nice to see a platformer for a change.

Cool cutesy little platformer!

Short but Sweet. I love the retro visuals (which remind me weirdly of lemmings). The story is cute, and I also like how you use what what you're collecting to defeat the boss at the end. The platforming is a quite floaty with the way your momentum stops the moment you let go of a direction, even while in the air, and you can completely shift directions in the air with no resistance.  Also, the final boss disappeared at one point and never came back, I'm not sure why.

Developer

oh no! Thats not good lmao!  Thanks for playing though haha

Niiiice! Very cute, reminds me a little of mario bros with collecting mixed in. Intersting backstory too!

Hello! Hello!!!!!

Visuals

The art is absolutely adorable—no complaints at all. The UI is clean, minimal, and does exactly what it needs to do. I never felt like I was missing anything important. Only small note: the signs with text close a little too quickly for the amount of reading required. Thankfully, I could just click again to re-read, so not a huge issue.

One thing: if the game was designed to be played fullscreen, you might want to force fullscreen instead of embedding it in the page. I think that was the intention given the screen dimensions. When I switched to fullscreen, the bottom part of the display got cut off.

Gameplay

Movement felt really good—responsive and precise. A little floaty at times, but overall I felt like I was in control the whole way through.

The only thing I really missed was some kind of visual indicator to show what’s safe to touch vs. what’s dangerous. I found myself avoiding harmless objects while accidentally bumping into actual hazards.

Also, I think I beat the game?? I reached the boss, jumped on him, he disappeared—but there wasn’t any clear indication that it was the end.

Final Thoughts

Super fun little game! Cute, tight, and enjoyable. Keep it up!!!!!

Developer

Thanks, I wanted to submit something else for this jam, but literally scratched the other project entirely last night lmao. Made this from like 8pm to like 1 am and submitted cus I had work today unfortunately, so it is super sloppy. Appreciate you for playing and for the feedback!

Great job making this game, i feel like the sign typing sound effect can be lowered as it gets too overwhelming, anyway good work <3

Thank you, you're very right, apologies for blowing out your ears :(
