How does your game follow the theme?
I used the "waves" concept for the movement and built the story around it, also the wavy art style, got the idea from this bugs in the pool that can walk on water and make waves on the surface of it. I also tried to represent the wave in a musical way, to make it fit with the soundtrack

Peak audio and voice acting lmao. Maybe mosquitony should rotate to where it's going? Also some indicator to when the wave will disappear. Overall pretty fun game!
hahaha thanks! yes, I considered to rotate it, but, it felt kinda strange to me, being a "up-to-down" game (I actually think I chose a strange/old gameboy set up for the game xD) and yes, you're right, the indicator for the wave lifetime should definitely be there.
thanks for playing! :)
I thought I can hop on objects because it also has waves. But what if we can? And add higher/long objects as obstacle? This can add another layer of depth. However, it would seem overscoping for a game jam. So kudos to you for keeping it simple yet enjoyable. Good work!
Yes, objects are tricky here because of them having waves, they should have been rocks haha, and yes, maybe that would be a nice addition, but as you said, I kept it as simple as I could because otherwise I would never finish we both know xD.
Thanks for your words!! :)
This is very unique! It feels like a problem solving Frogger. I thought I was supposed to land on the objects at first. I appreciated the progressive difficulty as you work your way through the levels. Nice work!
thanks a lot!
Specially for the comment about the level design, I like to build levels in a way that makes sense, so I'm glad it feels good!
Very cool,
the later levels feel very satisfying on completion, just the right amount of challenge
thanks a lot!
I'm glad you reached the last levels and that you like the level design, I try to make levels challenging but not frustating!
yeah for me it was motivating rather than frustrating, well done
At first I was convinced the waves were meant to move the objects and jump into them. Then I read the description, and though that the idea was to first jump into a wave, and then into a leaf. Then I finally discovered that it was waves all along! Great presentation, and the voice acting is what sold me the game to play it for while. Excellent job on the voice acting!
Thanks for sharing your full experience dude!
I'm really happy that you like my Mosquitony performance, it's been the funniest part for me as well! XD
Nice graphics and sound effects, I would also like a visual hint about the waves lifetime
thanks!! Yes I can see it's a feature that I should have introduced rather than just 'the sound of the wave geting low'
I'm happy you guys like the voicing :)
Very cool sound effects and voice acting :D
I would like the waves to be a little more visible (brighter maybe) and give a visual hint about their lifetime.
Nice style though, keep it up!
damn, that's a nice idea I regret I didn't have! Thanks a lot for the feedback!! :)
Man, I can't go past level 6 🥲. But wow. nice graphics and cute sfx!
hahaha so sorry not sorry!
I'm glad you made it till level 6! I intend it to be difficult, but not frustrating, I hope it wasn't your case. Thanksfot noticing the sfx, was a lot of fun for me to do! :)
I love the concept but the level didn't move on when i reached the other side. Level 1 is still fun though!
whatttt, that's a bug I couldn't reproduce myself... I put the 'reload' button in case there was some trouble I didnt find, maybe that way you can pass the level...
Thanks for the comment!
