I’m Dan (aka DJ Orchard). I make electronic music and I’d love to help out indie teams by creating original tracks or soundscapes for your games, totally free. All I ask is a mention in your credits.

🎶 My style: Electronic / Cinematic / Ambient / Trance / Breakbeat / Triphop
(but I’m flexible, I’ve been making music on my computer for over 30 years)

You can check out examples of my work here:

It’s been a long time since my music was last used in a game (about 20 years ago, in a quirky project kind of like Bikini Biker Bandits from Outer Space — they even sent me the game on CD). Back when I was a teenager I also made my own indie games, so I understand the challenges of finishing a project and how every little bit of help counts.

On top of music, I’ve been coding as a hobby for 32 years and have loads of QA testing experience, so I’m also happy to playtest your builds and give feedback if that helps.

What I can bring:

  • Custom music (ambient, trance, techno, atmospheric, or whatever vibe fits)

  • Game-ready loops and tracks

  • Extra help with testing and feedback during development

💡 No payment needed, I just enjoy being part of creative projects again and seeing my music come to life in games.

If you’re working on something and need music, feel free to message me.

Cheers,
Dan (DJ Orchard)

Hello. I am a hobbyist programmer developing free fantasy-themed roguelike deck-builder https://alsoknown.itch.io/way-to-crown

Most of the music in game is now made by various composers I found here.

Although you music style does not quite fit the theme and existing music, I was genuinely impressed by your work (to the point I am actually listening to it now as I write this).

Even more, I would like for you to playtest my game and maybe offer suggestions or ideas if you are interested in this game genre. Many players complained that my game is hard to understand unless you are a programmer :)
