How does the game fit the theme?
You have to find your king. The louder you scream, the more likely he hears you, but you will attract more enemies, making the rounds harder. This creates a system of risk and reward, where each round you have to decide how much risk you are willing to take.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
I didn’t make the music or three of the sound effects; everything else was made by me during the jam.

Great stuff! Nice and short, liked the combat, baiting the arrows felt great, the enemy did get stuck in the bush, but i managed to kill him afterwards. Congrats on submitting the game!
The combat system was interesting. I couldn't quite figure out the "critical hit", but I was able to whittle them down. I found the king after fighting two waves with a full bar. The victory screen reminded me of King's Quest, nice retro vibe. A little buggy (got stuck in the hedge once) but that was easy to avoid once I discovered it. Overall a fun little game.
Love this, game while short and simple its great and fun to play and the pixel art looks really cute, I enjoyed it and i didn't face any bugs besides one time when the Ogre spawned outside the map and i couldn't attack it so i had to restart, besides that the pixel art wasn't bad by any means an it was a fun jam game :D

Love a good waves n' upgrades games
Nice idea! I think the screaming concept at the beginning is unique. I did notice that after I took damage, I could actually push the enemies around haha! Not sure if that's on purpose, but it is pretty funny. Great work overall!
Quite innovative gameplay. Have a bug - enemies have been going over the hedge, when i've been hitting them very closely to this hedge.
Thanks for the feedback, and thanks for notifying me about the bug
I liked the mechanics and the concept of the game, a nice strong relation to the theme. I do think this type of game would benefit from being fast-paced with a slow difficulty curve increase. The art was clear and gave feedback. Overall, l think this was a good entry to the jam :D
Thanks for the feedback
The enemies are pretty tanky, even when only picking damage upgrades.
Nice concept and the gameplay felt good!
Nice idea! I liked the design and the mechanics of the game. However, your game was a little bit hard for me, but it's good overall. I would recommend giving it a try.
Nice use of the theme here! Good job on the game overall. I think I'd prefer if enemies had a little less health, but there were more of them overall, but that's a personal preference
The good thing is I like the concept and it's on theme in a unique way, which is great! I got stuck a couple times after the first enemy (tried to refresh the page a couple times). For upgrades, I had trouble closing the screen, but I realized that the X with the circle was the close button. I was like "duh" lol (I felt dumb there). Great job, it was innovative in my opinion!
Thanks for the feedback, and about the X thing, don’t worry, you’re not the first to say that the X doesn’t appear to be an X
Really unique concept from all the games I've played so far and very on theme. I liked the card system for upgrades in between rounds. Doing all the art and development yourself is super impressive!
I would love to see some more polish with the shouting mechanic to give you feedback as to how it did/didn't reach the king, but the # of ogres/orcs showing up made it obvious that the louder I was the more of them I had to fight.
Thanks for the feedback. Yes, I agree, but not only the shooting mechanic — in general I think the whole game could have been more polished
Great Idea and really nice sounds. The gameplay feels nice too.
The picture froze on the throne room picture but I could still hear the sounds of a working game in the background.
Keep at it!
thanks for the feedback
The idea seem fine, and I had fun trying the game. But I spent most of my time trying to find the enemies, and only found one. The fighting system was fine, but it felt pretty slow. Overall it's an okay little jam game.
Thanks for the feedback
I enjoyed it. It showed me the upgrade window, but I only had 9 gold, so I couldn't buy anything, and the upgrade window did not go away. This happened again when I refreshed the page, the same thing happened, though this time I had 3 gold. I don't think I should get the upgrade window if I don't enough gold to buy something.
Edit: that top right X does not look like an X to me.
Thanks for the feedback. I agree the X isn’t very X. I added the circle to make it more stylish, but it makes it seem less like an X
Good game, overall very original mechanic and great use of the theme.
Thanks for the feedback
Maybe add more instructions for the game, I tried understanding what's happening but I didn't know what was going on.
I scream at the start and call the enemy(it takes a long time for him to come) and run from him, then what?
more instructions and an explanation would help
In the description in Controls it says how to attack, but it is true that I should have put it in the game at the start. And thanks for the feedback
my bad, I just read the description again and saw that I need to use the arrow keys.
