Whoa, don’t know what’s more brutal: the bank or the arachnids. This is an excellent game in multiple aspects: the gameplay, the visuals, the music, the sfx, the polish. My compliments for working together so well!

This is such a great entry! Loved everything about it! Visuals are great, pixel art chef's kiss! the audio, OMG, the music and sound effects are very fitting and addictive!!

The streak mechanic is also very nice!

I love how the game favors focus , risk and positioning, so you can finish the egg sacs fast and then make a run for it!

The power ups are really nice too, some of them being a double edge sword! The loan mechanic sounds on par with greedy space corporations hahaha!

So much depth in this! Would LOVE to see as a full release!

Kudos for the team! 💪💪💪✨🎉

This is such an awesome game!  Loving the visuals and audio

I really enjoyed the gameplay, at the beginning though it feels kind of slow, by just having the normal beam, but after upgrading you start feeling the good powerful, I would say it’s really great.

WOW! This is probably the best one of this jam. Will be playing this again.

This game is, in my opinion, the perfect entry in this competition—a true champion. Both the design and the atmosphere are flawless. I really love the world-building in this game, and I sincerely hope a full version gets released. The only downside is that it’s a bit hard to get into at the very beginning.

Love the idea and the theme! Visuals and audio were well done, and the progressiveness is well thought out! It felt a little slow at the start though, but still had fun!

The game is interesting. I like the progression and the laser beam used as both mining and fighting. The game fell flat on the task at hand as collecting eggs got repetitive. I can see the game expanded Doom style with a story, maps and different goals to do. I loved the graphics and the player movement was really smooth. It feels like a complete releasable game ngl. Well done overall!
(Last thing - I managed to block a good chunk of the enemies under a wall, it was on the right side of the map where the egg is right of a wall)

Really liked the core mechanic where the laser does more damage as you continually hit a target, makes for stressful and *RISKY* moment-to-moment gameplay. The art was also great, I really enjoyed the colour palette. The theme was really cool with the crushing bank loans. It would be nice to know how much I'd need to harvest to not go negative. Also, I found the enemies either not a concern or completely overbearing, but so hard to balance that stuff. I think if there were increasing waves of enemies instead of a continuously increasing amount, that could help a lot. Really engaging and loved the setting

Very nice distinct style, pretty fun gameplay loop, somehow I keep going negative tho lol

The retro pixel art and atmosphere is lovely, and the core loop of balancing greed against survival is very engaging. Great job!

love the vibe of this, and the art is really good. the effects felt really satisfying

I like gameloop, and variability in weapon's choice. But at some point I have a bug, which made invisible a character.

Thank you for playing, glad you liked it!
And thank you for letting us know about that bug so we could fix it.

Very cool game well done! I didn't realise how much I needed in my life that noise of a spider mine going off very satisfying haha the effect of teleporting from the ship to the main game area was amazing! Would love if you checked out our game!

Such a cool little game!! The visual style is wonderful. Really nice interpretation of the theme! Great use of playing on the risk of losing your health and streak going down if you get hit. Amazing icon too c:

Nice game! I like the way you handle the theme. I was constantly trying to keep mining as long as possible and just avoid the enemies to not lose my multiplier

Great job! I had fun taking on a crippling debt :)

That is a very interesting main mechanic. I like how this also makes bullets not just a risk for your health, but more importantly, for your streak. Overall a very good game, but some constructive criticism:

The player feels a bit floaty, you should decrease the acceleration and deceleration time. Also the health bar is no longer visible after you die once (barrel got me).

The game freezes for a bit when you fire the laser for the first time, and when something explodes for the first time. This is due to shader compilation, which happens when a new shader or particle proceess material becomes visible. The way I fixed this in our game (also made in Godot) was to put every material in a tiny SubViewport that renders them once, forcing compilation at the start so it doesn't happen during gameplay.

Congrats on making a cool game!

Love the art and its color palette. I enjoy much the mechanic where you combine both weapon and mining device into 1 ray. It is a bit boring when I have to mine a big chunk of egg sac than having to pop few small. Nice submission.

Omg, f* BankX... Nice game though, I really enjoy the pixel art aesthetics.
