First off, credit where it’s due: Unused audio - Ariel 😄
Sorry Ariel, but that gave me a good laugh!

Now, while there are definitely areas that could use some polish (which I’m sure you’re already aware of), I’d rather shine a light on the positives:

  1.  Took down the legendary shrimp-wearing-sneakers boss - what a moment!
  2. Risked it all by sprinting through the level, chasing anything that vaguely resembled my goal (which, of course, turned out to be the legendary shrimp-wearing-sneakers bos!).
  3. The two spells available are genuinely great - each one feels distinct and brings something unique to the gameplay.

The visuals were the star here. That was very well done!

Some things that may be improved:

  • To point the camera to where you are going, instead of dragging behind. I got hit by projectiles that I couldn’t anticipate.
  • To make the fireball impact on collision, and not just at where the player clicks.

The art is good and reminded me a bit of Don't Starve. Unfortunately, the browser version can't be launched in screen and  after death nothing happens, it looks fun thou. Add a bit of polish, and it would be super exciting

I really liked the artwork a lot, it definately adds a very surreal atmosphere to the game!

The game cannot be played in full screen. After dying, you can't restart immediately; I have to reload the game. The monsters' bullets appear very suddenly, leaving players with no time to dodge. The overall art style is very consistent, blending complex and simple elements, resulting in a visually appealing experience. The skill system is designed to be very interesting and diverse. The game world feels highly explorable. The game has a lot of potential, though many areas still need polishing.

Fantastic art, I love this art style! I also think the way that the cookie monster looks rapidly from side to side is hilarious. Would love to see you guys expand on this game more with more spells!

I'm a sucker for fun character design, and that frog is to die for. Absolutely brilliant.

My only complaint - besides the short comings allready listed by yourself - is that you're kinda outpacing the camera, which makes it a bit too easy for my liking to run into ambushes.

But I adore the art around. Right up my alley.

Very nice art! The spell cast system is interesting (especially the fireball). It is too bad the controls feel a bit "clunky", it was a bit tedious to cast the spells. No health bar did not help for feedback, but for the jam it is quite nice !! :D

I could not play in fullscreen too but I don't know if it was just a problem on my end so I did not take that into account in my rating. :)

very cute art.. rough animations but who loves animations lol. I would have loved some music or more spells but the game is pretty good for a jam. Goodjob!

Very fun looking art and a good fit with the theme. I found a bug while playing: apparently when you kill (or maybe just hit?) an enemy with lightning it stays on the screen forever. And speaking of the lightning! It was kinda hard to use cause it'd only damage the enemy if you like, hit it perfectly with the end of it. The fireball I sort of understand not hitting on the way and only when it lands, but I feel like the lightning sould have had a clearer way of showing when it hits.
