The plot sounds like a manga title - The day I quit my job to become a full time game developer XD!
The only criticism I have is... If you were keeping track of the timeline, in the initial scene when the player started learning game dev; the calendar in the background shows 'July'. Why is it not 'June' :( , I was slightly disappointed though it's not much of a big deal; I really like when people pay attention to such details (maybe it's just me?). The gameplay had no issues though, nice visuals and music; well done!
Good game, but a 'skip dialogue' button would've been great lmao
Nice story and gameplay. Keep it up!
I'm not the first to say it :D I accidentally restarted it after a minute or two and am not patient enough to sit through the same dialogue :(
short and simple game but can also tell there is a big story behind it. Love the 4th wall and bringing in brackey's game jam into the game itself (inception). The message at the end is nice as well. If you're going for the visual novel game type, I would probably add some more visual interest and variation and maybe talk with another character and in different situations so the player can be immersed into their world. The risks themselves are considerable but each time the character says 'yeaaah' which doesn't seem like it is actually a risk. So maybe having some visual cues or scenes where you see the impact of your choices would be nice. Overall I think its going in a good direction and would love to see what you make of it, especially if its about yourself :) good luck!
Very cute game, as others said a way to make dialogue skippable for fast readers would improve the pacing lot, otherwise, nice effort :)
Cute game! I loved the story, and it's honestly so relatable. Making the dialogue both pause and skip it would make it much better. Keep it up!
Nice game! but would be amazing if there is a way to fast forward the dialogue a bit. Keep up the good work!
decent little story, pretty enjoyable, btw did you use scratch for this?
Nice story and the ending has a strong message that everyone should take into account!
Quick suggestions:
- After the first month it would be nice to change the background calendar to say August
- The text could also have a faster pace
Congrats on your Game jam it seems like you really want to be a game devand follow this career! Wish you good luck!
