How does the game fit the theme?
In this city builder you need to create Mill and Bakeries, but be carefull you don't want them to explode.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Some 2D icons from the asset store

This game is pretty polished for sort of time jams! The build mechanism (the animation is so good) is satisfying and i love to build more! But i don't see when my cookies is ready or my order is send, that's quite disappointing when i do ton of effort to run the empire. Yet great game, this game had lot of potential, add rotate mechanism too haha
Really nice looking game, I especially like the placement animations, looks very professional. Adding on to the risk theme, one idea would be to increase the bonus from stacking buildings close together, and having explosions do splash damage. It would encourage riskier builds and placements, and help supercharge the cashouts as a result.
Cute and beautiful game. The idea has great potential, it feels like it can keep growing with new mechanics. Awesome
Well polished, good looking and has good sound design and music. Overall pretty good game.
This is amazingly polished for a jam game! Your team did amazing work on the presentation, it’s so cute and peaceful until you realize you built too many buildings to possibly maintain and run out of money fifty cookies short of the last order.
So basically it’s a really good game. You guys did awesome!
It's definitely has a potential being more than a jam game.
I think you hitting a right spot here, and adding some polish and features like it was mentioned below by others would push this game in more of a "full game" direction. I am really excited to see where this project might go 🙂
Great work 👏 👏 👏
The game looks super good and interesting! The only thing I have to say is that the game's (3D world) is great, but the UI... could be better, I think. If you take the time to refine the UI, the game could potentially be very polished and a good game. > v<
Im a massive fan of city builders and the design is so good I wish I could give it 6 stars. Seeing the buildings spawn in and go through a construction phase was so smooth and well crafted. I think the overall gameplay was simple and straight forward, but for a city builder I think that works and allows it to be easy to pick up. Amazing work with this game :)
Cool resource management game. Like others have said, it's not very deep in its current state, but there's already a lot of ideas going around to make it more interesting.
Here's a VOD of me playing your game. Thanks for sharing!

Very relaxing game! Music was great. Sound effects were great. If you were to make that a full game with more things to unlock I would buy it.
What a fantastic submission! The visuals are absolutely breathtaking, the gridded system and building alongside the sounds and animations were just incredible.
I do agree with one of these other comments - positioning feels like it should have more of an impact, like maybe adjacency bonuses, or maybe the mills gain improved output on the higher tiles (or specific tile types), or maybe even required path-building between mills and bakeries, etc. These sorts of systems would be unbelievably difficult to implement in such a small window of time, so I wouldn't have expected it in the current build - but I know you'd mentioned wanting to continue development a bit on this, so that would be fun to see!
Also, a tad bit more of a warning before the explosions would be helpful - maybe a more impactful sound cue or a floating icon above impending destruction spots. (Random side note, a cool update could even be a disaster system for even more risk lol, these are crazy systems to implement so maybe I'm just on a tangent, but random meteor events or something would add some fun chaos to this sort of engine.)
Anyways, really fantastic implementation of the theme and certainly one of the most impressive submissions I've seen! I can really see this being a game I'd play outside of the jam!
The 3D assets and their animations are awesome!
The game loop is interesting but there are a lot of things that need a better design:
- The positioning seems to have no impact for the gameplay
- The fact that you have a single way of gaining gold makes the decision making not so interesting, because you just build all the stuff and than nothing more. You only have to reapair.
Hope you find this feedback useful (I was as honest as possible because I saw your post)
If you try mine, let me know what you think!
Maybe having another building that farms gold but in a different way
Try to have a look to "the king is watching", I think it could be a nice reference: the core loop is similar --> build stuff farm resources build more stuff etc.., but with the "action" twist of facing enemy waves (your twist in this sense is the repair mechanic)
A Small fun loop with some good visuals. To improve maybe make it more clear / have the blicking appear for longer before a building is destoryed.
For the future maybe have buildings that can delay the destruction of nearby building as I would reach a point where I would only be repairing building.
Yes today its a probability base so even if your circle is yellow, it can explode with a probability of 1%, and the red is something like 15% so sometimes your building will blink red for a long time before exploding.
For the idea on the building totally agree we need to think on new building or perks.
Really great game !
The level of polish is real, the game looks perfect, well done! :)
Really great visuals and animations, the sound effects are also great, I like the repair feature too. Only thing I'd say is it needs more depth. More buildings, maybe the location you place buildings has an impact on stuff, etc.
graphics and music are very good, it was fun to play. My only complaint is that it ran a little slow, however that is an issue on my side, so overall still a great game
