How does the game fit the theme?
The goal of this game is to dig deeper and deeper to get better loot and fight monsters. But the deeper you go, the harder it will be to get up when the lava inevitably rises after 120s. Will you play it safe and collect resources near the surface? Or risk it for the biscuit deep down?

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Assets that are not from scratch are from opengameart.org, and itch.io

Great game! Very polished mechanics, really fun to play and great replayability! Definitively an impressive work!

That was wonderful. The stress I felt when I realized the timer wasn’t the end of the game and caused lava to rise! Would definitely play again! Also holy crap that chiptune sax!image.png

Fun and satisfying game with a tinge of stress. I got a 45686.50 but the game crashed on the second try :(

Hi, sorry about the crash, do you know what caused it? Thanks for the review

Sounds + Mining is really fun nice job

I've played so many slow incremental mining games that I was expecting this to be the same, so the arcade vibes and energetic music was a great surprise. With some added meta progression I could see myself easily getting addicted to this.

Exactly this! The gameplay loop is solid and replaybale, and the gimmick allows for creative level design and emergent strategies. The only problem is that there is no real reward for getting more points (permanent upgrades, unlocking new content, etc.). You could argue it's an incremental game and the objective is getting as many points as possible, but it's a cheap approach to a proof of concept that - if expanded - could be a solid standalone game.
