Yay another cat game! I love the art. Adorable and full of charm.
I don't really think it fits the theme. Sure, it has biscuits but from a gameplay perspective you're not really risking anything. That being said, I really don't care, those cats are just too damn cute. I just love the visuals and the vibes. I gotta admit, when I clicked on this I didn't quite expect biscuit tycoon with cats but I definitely liked it. Although I did have some problems with the controls at first but hey, game jam and everything. I finished the game with 3 cats and honestly, with the game being this easy, you don't really need more.
in testing I always ended up with like 40 cats 😂
Cat army.
But seriously, if the game had a biscuit quota or a timer or something I probably would've done the same. Giving players toys to play with is nice but if you don't also give them reasons to use them they'll just end up back in the toy box.
the voice acting, the visuals and cat biscuits!! very complete, i loved it
This game is so cute! And it's so polished as well, the UI especially feels great to use. Wonderful job!
Extremely cute and well-made, loved the art, animations, and voice-acting!
Omg, voice acting, amazing art, cozy vibe. SO much achieved in such a short period, great work!!
Music had a Charlie Brown feel to it that matched the pace of the game. The cat was definitely acting like a cat. Sometimes it did what you wanted, and sometimes it did not. Going to have to play this a lot more to get the full picture. Good job!
A cosy cute game. I did find that it could sometimes be hard to control the cat.
Meow?
Meow.
I think the main enjoyment I got out of this was how funny it was that I kept losing track of which cat was doing which thing at what time and soon my whole kitchen was filled entirely with cats. Kind of felt like I was herding animals. Super funny and pretty fun.
I use a trackpad so I couldn't pan though. Luckily, it's not required to beat the game but for any future game, please make something like ctrl + left click be a stand-in for right click.
I liked the voice acting and visuals and had a good time. Nice submission!
thanks for the feedback! Thats a good point about track pads! Gotta think of laptop users
A really cute and cosy game !!! I love these cats x factorio xD
This is what Henry Ford envisioned. I love the cat assembly line that I was able to create :)
What a cute game. Really like the art-style and game-play is quite fun.
Very cute game. Love the art style. Has a good gameplay loop and satisfying progression.
Damn, what a well-crafted game, super cute and polished!
thank you so much!!
This game is adorable! If it were a mobile game I could see myself just opening it and play it in my free time! The cats were a bit slow and it took me a second to get a hang of all the mechanics but the game is very polished!
This game is too freaking CUTE! I could watch Nibbles kneading the biscuits forever
The art is so lovely! I also love that we get some purring sfx too :)
Kat :)
Kat :)
Oh, I loved this! Super cute and polished, and fun watching all my cats run around delivering stuff.
My only grip is the difficulty in selecting things sometimes, and not being able to set up a supply chain until some dough had been made, for example. But that's a small thing
Amazing work!
your second point was a huge sticking point for me ahahah there used to be orange arrows that appeared from the stations. but after a little while with 10+ stations it got real messy so I decided to make it based on the objects that actually exist in game.
honestly a radial menu like in sims would probably be best. Click on cat->click on station->radial menu appears(input, work, output)->then the cat does what you ask of it.
if you hit 'output' you then select another station and hit 'input'
thank you for the kind words! <3
This is so well polished! Kudos for making this for the game jam. The intro and the visuals are top notch. Took me a wee minute to get the simple assigning kitties properly - but then it clicked. Intuitive and clean and I loved the way the cats needs interrupt their attention... "what are you doing?" I thought to myself the first time they went to lie down or play. Really cute and again simple bit spot on visuals and style.
Really solid chill game and one I want to return to!
yeah! the cats cannot be stopped from keeping themselves happy and healthy. That was always the priority when designing. We didn't want to make a cat sweat shop
