a lot harder than i thought it would be but satisfying to complete :3
Hi! Sorry, difficulty was absolutely NOT properly balanced, but I am VERY glad you had fun ^w^
hard game but fun to try to beat it also congratulation you made game with begining and end thats better than my first game xdd
Thank you! I'm glad you had fun! I'm VERY LUCKY I got to include a beginning and end, given that uh, I didn't think I was going to get to with how my pace was :3 Even pared down from my original vision though, I had a ton of fun making it, and I'm glad people seem to enjoy it more than I initially expected ^w^ I absolutely will be doing MORE of these in the future, because WOW the feeling of creation is just...kinda addicting huh? Anyway, thank you so much for playing and I hope you had a good time ^w^
Fun idea and very bullet hell like, The oxygen does run out a little fast but its still doable so I kinda liked that
I may not have had the time to do thorough testing and be as detailed as I like but I was not in the mood to submit something impossible :3 Glad you had fun!
controversial opinion but I kinda like that it's really hard! felt a lot like the impossible game, super cool application of the theme and the music and sound is great
I'm glad you enjoyed it! I definitely SLIGHTLY overtuned it, and there are ways to cheese it--and frankly I wasn't trying to make a Dark Souls like, and better hitboxes would've helped--but I DID make sure that, even if you took a hit or two, it was still Technically Doable if you went quick. Is it a bare minimum? Sure, but I was low on time. I am glad that it enhanced your enjoyment of the game though!
Honestly, its a pretty fun little thing, it is punishing like others said. But all said and done it fits the theme
I'm very glad you had fun! And yeah, I ABSOLUTELY should have toned down the oxygen drain rate; it'd also be better if the hitboxes on the enemies were better, frankly, but now I know to be more careful for future projects. And yeah, I wanted to make something that did fit the theme, while also having a SLIGHTLY different gimmick than "just go down" so...go down, then up TECHNICALLY counts, right? :3
It's neat and i like the audio, but it's clearly too punishing on the player. simply increasing the oxygen would make things way better, so getting hit once or twice doesn't guarantee death.
Also it was very easy to cheese, i just hugged the left wall and nothing stopped me.
Hi! Yeah, I originally intended the game to be longer, but because I was running out of time and energy I did a snap adjustment on the values and VERY clearly overcompensated. As for the cheesability...yeah, that's expected. I originally intended to make random spawning a thing, but kept breaking it, so I had to place things manually with basically no time for testing lmao. Thank you for playing it though! I hope you had fun ^w^
First time i was so close to getting back to the surface! This mechanic actually reminds me of many games where there is a treasure on the bottom of body of water and you have to retrieve it, maybe that can be the interpretation of diver's actions? Also, incredibly good sounds!
Yeah, it did end up kinda like that one Mario Party minigame! Originally it was going to be a depth-based diving contest, with a depth tracker, but for a first game I had to cut back a bit to ensure my ADHD self could get it in on the deadline. As for the sounds, those were not my work personally, but I will absolutely pass along the feedback on it--and I agree, I genuinely think said sounds are probably the best part in my opinion.
