Amazing visuals, nice story.
But with gameplay there is a lot of stuff feels wrong. Also I am not seeing the theme of risk here
I've played with both keyboard and controller, Its cool to see those options. From my subjective experience not being able to move while being stuck in the attack animation do feel stiff as other have mentioned, But even so the boss fight experience are still fun! The art style reminds me of the game Hades, I like it. The thematic title & UI for buttons, health bar is also a nice touch!
On a side note it is indeed cool to see another boss rush as you put it Choclified XD
Are you all planning to update the game after?
What a cool game! I love the narrative/story aspect and the art is gorgeous, both the sprite work and the portraits. I really enjoyed the overall theme and the option to play with a controller is an awesome touch. I really appreciated how well the controls were explained at the beginning and the little starting area where I could "practice" the controls. It would be cool if there was a training dummy or something to make the practice a little more interesting but that's completely optional. Wonderful job overall! What a great entry!
Very well-crafted game! Incredible work on the details and visuals. The music and graphics are very impressive, and the gameplay is barebones but fun.
Excelent game, it's a short experience but very well made. Visuals and sounds are really amazing, I liked the pixel arts and handdrawn arts a lot, one of the most pretty games in the jam, btw. Moveset of the bosses are enoughly cool, about the player I would suggest a better impact on his attacks and a better jump control (like in Super Mario, if you just press, the character will jump a little bit. If you long press, the character will jump higher), that would offer a more precise controls to the player. Other than that, with some polish your game has a huge potential to a complete experience in a post-jam work, congrats for your game!
I liked this a lot! I do think the controls were a bit too stiff and the sun god felt pretty easy to abuse, but it was a fun narrative and cool to have two boss fights. Art is fantastic, music and sounds are good, just a really solid package overall. Good work!
Loved the art and the God theme! The fights are well designed regarding the boss attacks! Animations super smooth! While I wish my attack response was faster, I get that it's part of the gameplay experience you want to convey! 😊
Overall, super solid entry! 😊💪
That was really fun! The responsivity of the controls get a short while to get used to, but it's not a big issue. The fights themselves were very engaging! While fighting the sun god at the end I ended up dying at the same time as I dealt the last strike, and I was glad to see the win condition registered before the lose condition. The writing was very sweet as well. Overall, it was an enjoyable game!
Nice, now I don't need to play Silksong. Seriously, this is one of the more polished entries I've played. the battle mechanics were fun. The main issue I had with the controls was the general floatiness and trouble with directional rolling. Nice work!
I loved the story, art and everthing ^^ Really enjoyed trying it but it was hard for me :d
Amazing work on the art! Gameplay wise the controls need a bit improvement and the bosses are really easy to cheese but I had fun. Great Job!
love the character design! great atmosphere
Really good art, bosses were a little easy to cheese but the game was enjoyable for the little time it lasted. keep up the good work!
I was pretty impressed by this one. Looking very nice and well polished. It was challenging but still feasible. 👍👍
Everything about this game was very good. My only issue was that when you press attack or parry you can't cancel with roll. But overall, this was one of the top games in this jam good work guys.
Incredible job. Very cool story, very fun gameplay. Great visuals and audio aswell. I also liked getting to chose which god was my lover and seeing the different dialogues. Great one, really!
I think this is the 1st boss rush that I play in a jam and I really liked this
I played twice to see the different dialogues and I’m glad I did because it really changes and you can see the personality of each god, I like them both, but I find more funny when Solareo is the lover, great dialogues, the interaction between the player and them is coherent which is a nice touch to the game
About the gameplay, I find Solareo easy to beat, you just hit 3 times, step back a little and parry, repeat until finish which is ok but would be nice that even if you are near, you get another attack, to avoid this spammy strat. Neruna is fun to fight, great use of the roll mechanic here to get past the projectiles you get shot at and it’s an ok pattern attack. I would like to see a battle with both at the same time, maybe a dialogue that pops up and if you pick badly, you get to fight them just for fun haha
The controls are good, the attack animation is great, I really like how smooth it is, the attack feeling is good and I didn’t feel it needed much of a change, it’s a good gameplay that I could see getting expanded with more bosses, the parry is also good, just would like to see an indicator to know that I can parry again or to know I can’t spam it, which in this game isn’t needed to spam, but just for clarity on when you can do it again
Also I found a bug? where if your hp is 0 and you defeat the 2nd boss at the same time, you get the death menu and the dialogue at the same time, I could continue as I haven’t died so I could clear the game haha, which lead to a funny screenshot xD
I liked the art of the game, it’s nice to see it and nice that the song and almost everything was made for the jam, I really like when people do all the assets!
I can’t think of much feedback, I like it as it is now and because I didn’t find anything bad, great entry ^^
Short but sweet. Solid sprite work. Tight controls. Very well crafted. First and only boss rush(?) game I've played during the Jam. Very polished. Bravo!
Wow, amazing game! I love the art A LOT! It as a lot of fun playing. Great Job!
Good work with the art and story. I didn't quite understand the connection to the theme. But it's nice work!
