And I absolutely LOVED the ability to shoot your own body parts to gain the enemies body parts, but a great improvement would be to make yourself choose the body part you throw?

How does the game fit the theme?
You are General McCookie, a Gingerbread Man who just came baked from an oven.
Your Mission: To find the Golden Cookie and overcome hordes of evil insects that are rampaging around the kitchen.
Use your limbs to fend them off; you can pick these back up, or glue enemy limbs on with icing for different abilities. Continue upwards to find that cookie, and above all else, avoid the milk!!! Risk it all for that biscuit!
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
None, everything was made by the team.
How many people worked on the game?6

I like this take on the theme a lot. It would have been really neat if the risk of losing a body part was emphasised by losing what that part allowed you to do (if you shoot your own leg you couldn't jump or need to crawl, shoot your head and your vision is impaired etc..).
I did also find the collision and physics a bit clunky against walls and enemies. But overall a pretty fun game, well done!
The gameplay is very impressive. The idea of using your limbs as ammo emphasis on the risk taking factor of each attack. I do want to point out that it the movement speed is way too slow for my liking. And a little more visual cue on where to go would be very helpful.
I liked the swappable arm feature, haven't seen that before! Having a large, sprawling level was nice, felt like I was diving inside a hive. Besides slow movement and some uneven collisions, everything pretty solid. Nice work!
I really like the idea of using your limbs as weapons, attaching new ones, and possibly gaining new abilities from it! That's really unique! Only real gripe I have regarding that is that the movement is extremely slow.
Wow I was not expecting myself to be the ammo, great interpretation of the theme!
Cool concept! I think a little more polish could have gone a long way with this, but the idea was interesting. The grasshopper sprite was pretty cool and creepy.
Cool concept, but like everyone else's comments its a bit unpolished. But considering you made it an a game jam, in a week, it's a cool game! If you gave it some more work and turned it into a complete game, I think it would be great!
Unique idea defininitely! I think it needs a lot more polish though, pretty much everyone elses comments I agree with. The music got very grating very quickly. With work though, this could be something pretty interesting.
Visually the game is, lacking. It has no feedback, some polishment on that would do it. Aside from that, i find the idea quite innovative!
To be honest, the idea is really good and definitely has potential if developed further, but the execution felt very lacking. I kept playing to see if there were any different uses or surprises, but I couldn’t really find what I was hoping for.
Visually it’s very bare, with almost no feedback for anything, and the text appears blurry it definitely needs more polish in these areas. Still, the concept itself is quite innovative and interesting!
Amazing concept and gameplay. the idea is using your body parts and then using the enemy parts is so innovative, I would love for the aim to not be forced to the direction i'm facing and it would be spot on! maybe some polishing to the physics and spawns of enemies and stickiness to walls. well done loved it!
I had a hard time getting to know that i can shift the direction of shooting but nice mechanics though
though i went from from being a Gingerbread to a hybrid oned one, I didn't expect that XD
Great work, devs.
Having to sacrifice your limbs to do damage is a very interesting mechanic, really enjoyed the game. But also, kinda grossed out that I could reattached limbs that were from the insects lol. One minor issue I had was with the mouse aiming, took be a bit to realize I had to use A/D to face that direction before aiming. Other than that, fun game!
Simple but enjoyable ,I like the details like the limbs removing when taking damage :D
