Felicitaciones Jacinto nuevamente. Esta vez por haber ganado la jam. Bien merecido.

Muchas gracias!

Hola Diora!

I was using keyboard and even with the sensitivity all the way down, it seemed way too responsive for my taste.  Also, I really expected up/down to be switched, as is standard in flying games, so my brain kept telling me to hit the wrong buttons.  But a very pleasant experience overall.

I actually think this could work better as a mobile game where you move around with your finger.  Or if on PC, then with your mouse.  Or at least have that option.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! The best way to play for now is with a controller, but I’ll take note of the mouse option. That said, you can change the direction of the vertical axis in the settings. I haven’t tested it too much, but it should work. :)

Beautiful game with a lot of attention to the source material. My only criticism is that the controls feel a bit too sudden and jumpy, and it can be difficult to judge how high or low an object is in terms of perspective, sometimes it almost looks like things are spawning below the ground.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Yes, both of those issues might need a little more work. I'm planning to keep working on this concept, so I will definitely address those problems.

WOW this game is pretty! You nailed the art direction and made a very beautiful world to move through! I like the feel of the controls, floaty like a paper airplane might be. Makes the player feel very vulnerable in this dangerous space. Well made!

Developer

Thank you! Really appreciate it!! :)

Really beautiful game and nice integration of the music in the environment creation - a very unique approach! I loved how you have perfectly matched the look of the game with the album art and also the theme, great job on that! The controls take a little getting used to since there is a 'floaty' feel to controlling the paper plane and it also maybe because my system is slow (tried both on browser and windows version). But i think that is where the skill of the player comes in! I also love that when the player is hit or dies, the song sort of gets muffled/ goes out of tune.. that was a nice touch! One small suggestion would be to add some feedback when the player gets the cubes since its not immediately clear. Other than that overall a superb entry and had fun playing :)

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! I’m sorry to hear you had performance issues. I developed the game on a fairly old computer where I consistently got 60 FPS, so I assumed it would run well enough for most players.

I’ll make a note about enhancing the feedback when the player absorbs the cubes. I did have a sound effect, but I felt it interfered with the song, so I removed it. I’ll see what I can do visually instead. :)

I really liked the way you used the album cover visuals to create the game. It’s also very cool how the game builds the scenery based on the music. Great job!

Developer

Thank you! I saw this jam as an exercise in “art direction” (I’m not a professional artist), so I really appreciate the positive feedback on it!
