How does the game fit the theme?
The Gameplay mimics the feel of two people in a RelayRace. When a person completes a lap the opponent has 10 seconds to finish their lap or lose. The Risk for players is if they let their breath meter hit zero they will also automatically lose. The game fits the theme by rewarding players for taking risks. Each time a player completes a lap, their opponent will have 1 less second to complete their current lap. In short players must be cautious to survive, but aggressive to win!

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Code for Level Generation - Blackthornprod (ROGUE LIKE RANDOM LEVEL GENERATION - #1)
Music and Sound - Purchased

The hitboxes feel like they need to be tighter, I think I was taking damage but still far away from the spikey plants. I like the swimming controls, it makes for an intense couch-coop battle, great job thanks for making

was quite fun, I enjoyed it! Nice fresh approach on random generating!

Interesting take on the theme! Once you getting used to controls, it’s pretty fun!

Had no one to play with this late, so tried on my own and the strange thing I’ve observed is that you don’t have to push the button or your opponent be dead to win, games just pop up win state at some point when you are close the button.

Thank you for letting me know about the bug. I haven't been able to replicate it yet, but just to double check the win screen appeared even though neither players had touched a button and both players were alive?

Precisely, basically I was just playing for character on the top of the screen. I don’t know, maybe this is the intended behaviour and you have to actively push the but just to get close to it.

Fits the theme rather well, the choice of music is very fitting, and it's a neat idea to make a 2 player game for a jam like this, definitely stands out from the rest thanks to it.

Two suggestions I'd have is the sound when you hit the corals is very quiet compared to music so it could use some boosting or a visual indicator that you hit them. Secondly, I feel like the player hitbox could be smaller because so it's closer to the width or height of the sprite. And you might want to fix the level generation - there are white squares visible on top and bottom sometimes.

Nonetheless, very cool project, that stands from the rest with its idea <3
