Super cool and unique idea! Visually the game is really pretty, I like this retro 90s aesthetic you went for. Well done!

Interesting Idea for a game, the visuals and SFX are really good. Maybe a more engaging tutorial helps players enjoyment!

Really interesting, I really don't know how it works 100% to make me pass the levels, but it's visually pleasant to play.

Nice take on the cooking genre. I like the art style and characters. I like the ingredients system. It was pretty difficult for me, but maybe I'm just too slow haha.

Congrats!

Such a unique idea! I didn't make it past the second level sadly. Guess I'll never be a star cook :/

Quite a innovative way of presenting a cooking game! It's really impressive that you managed to make ALL this in a week! It was fun, but I didn't get the tutorial at first. If you plan to keep on working in the project, maybe it would be great to make a full interactive tutorial level with a lot of feedback. It would be way easier to understand how everything works. Congratulations!

Thank you ! yeah the tutorial is the thing i should upgrade but i kinda made it a few hours before the deadline, i know it's something i need to improve on for the next game. Thank you for playing

Really cool that you made all the assets yourself! Great work there :)

I loved your game! It has the scent of childhood games, it really made me nostalgic. Wonderful work!

Very well-done. The gameplay was fun as I got to understand what I need to make. It would be nice if players will know what type of servings they will make from using a certain type of ingredient. Like knowing if this ingredient will make a sauce, or crisp, or a cream and whatnot.

Great game, overall.

It's funny I was reading an article a few months back that ConcernedApe wrote about trying to design an intuitive cooking system that felt free of the min/max limitations that every game system generally boils down to. I had just read The Flavor Matrix and had read Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat a little bit before that, and I thought it would be really cool if there was a tag based cooking system where you could intuitively combine ingredients. This was a really cool prototype.

The only thing I'd say is I was a bit confused about the mechanics/goal for each round. I couldn't seem to get past the 2nd round. It gives you the flavor goals for the dish, but even when leaning into it I still don't seem to win lol. Either way, very cool. Art was also awesome!

I really enjoyed playing. Great job!!

The art is cute, but it's a little hard to grasp the mechanics

Visuals are excellent. Gameplay is smooth and I enjoyed it. Round and cooking timers could go a bit quicker
