Description
The tracks follow the story in the description, two characters going through odd events in order to finally meet each other and reunite. The songs are mostly electronic and ambient with a few edm and classical references. I used fl studio. I put a lot of effort into the tracks, though some may be lower quality because I was balancing school and life whilst doing them. The logo was done by ·.¸¸.·♩♪♫ Randomness ♫♪♩·.¸¸.·

It’s really cool how many different moods you’ve managed to pack into this OST. I especially enjoyed Lake Eerie with its droning piano textures. For sure one of the more unique submissions I’ve listened to so far!
I appreciate it! thanks a lot! lake eerie was a rather oddball compared to the rest of the tracks, more for flavor.
Cool ideas and interesting instrument choices here. The mixing is a little rough around the edges. There's a bit too much high high-end on some tracks, especially the bright synth on "It wasn't your fault." and that EQ sweeping static on "The stars sure do sound bright tonight." They both come off as a bit harsh on the ears for me.
"Outside the Club": the synth lead has a LOT of sub-bass on it, I would either cut it back some and add some tone into the mids or just pick a different synth. On listening to "Club Fight" I get the idea now, but it doesn't translate well without the context of having listened to Club Fight first. That said, I would still dial back on the sub-bass a bit, and you almost always want to get rid of the sub-bass on the L and R.
"A lullaby for a psychopath" has some interesting tension in it. This is a creative choice, but personally I think sidechain compression (think typical synthwave) would have worked really well here to add some flavor to the mix.
I don't know what you were cooking with on "Reflections" but I think I'd like to try some ahaha. That pad that comes in around 0:30 is nice and thick and gives a lot of character to the track.
Overall, this is a really weird but cool sounding OST. I get you wanting to stay away from melodic elements to build tension and create that spooky/ambient horror sort of deal, and you did a good job with that. That said, I think having something light thrown in occasionally could create some good dynamics and make the weight of your synthhorror vibes more powerful. For example, "One summer night theme" starts off pretty strong, but it builds up a little slowly and doesn't really go anywhere afterwards. Instead of bringing in the additional synth at 0:54, you could try adding in a little breakdown: drop the snare, change the key of the bells, add in a few quick, high piano notes/flourishes, maybe about 8 bars total or so, then pick back up where you left off at :054. It would leave the remainder of the song with more impact.
Regardless, nice work and an overall enjoyable listen!
I get what you mean by the mixing, I've only recently tried to improve that, thanks for the feedback! My entire style is rather...harsh, but I'm glad you like reflections! I tried to throw in as many styles as I could in this as I could, but reflections is the type that I think I'm best at.
I really like your game concept and the direction you took your soundtrack! I’d say ‘A lullaby for a psychopath’ is probably my favorite track. I liked the off putting chord progressions you used for that one. This was a great listen overall. Great job!
Thanks a lot! I'm not as proud of lullaby simply because of the drum beat, I refrained from using any samples in that one lol...but I'm glad you like it!
This was a fun OST, reminds me of the days spent making fun electronic music with the fellas, which is a very hard vibe to capture, so props for that! The synth design was cool and the club music was groovy! Nice touch putting the low pass filter on the exterior to make it sound like its coming from the outside, that attention to detail is always appreciated! Good work!
Thank you so much! I appreciate it! I'm glad you liked my music!
I liked how funky club fight was. The synths were all so goofy and menacing at the same time.
also I 100% got jumpscared in reflections.
Heh sorry about that! Thanks!
the amount of suspense you gave me with the progression of the melodies are insane. well done.
Thanks a lot! sorry for not responding earlier I was about ready to pass out lol.
I loved it, the storytelling is amazing! The way you tell so much through your music wooows, club fight and the maintheme were my favs
Thanks so much! I'm glad you liked them!
I really enjoyed the darker place you took this prompt.
My favourite track was It wasn't your fault, it really felt like it set the tone and built up some nice tension. I also alllways dig a good "they're partying inside" tune, so outside the club was very evokative and put me right in the "I'm in the alleyway outside figuring stuff out" headspace.
Also enjoyed how off-kilter a lullaby for a psychopath feels, very appropriate.
One small criticism is I think the mixes are a little harsh/loud? Might be personal preference but I think there's room to let a lot of the parts breath more there.
Yeah I get that, reason is I'm not great at mixing, trying to get better though! Thanks!
Completely valid! Mixing can be obtuse and weird sometimes. I still really enjoyed the soundtrack :)
Super immersive, I love the club themes! niceee work overall
Appreciate it!
Club Fight is such a fun track (So bouncy), and it wasn't your fault really sets the stage for the game! Nice one :P
Thanks! I need to get better at mixing, I think that's one of the things that I struggle with. Club fight was added in towards the end because I wanted some faster tracks in there.
