Description
The genre is mainly ambient. Actually, I didn't think of it as a game, but the first track can be considered a main theme and the second a prologue or something like that. I also wanted to create a village-type theme, but I decided t
o post only these two. I started my tracks using chords from songs that gave me the feeling of a summer night at the beach, with the wind in my face, and I wanted to bring that feeling to the songs. In the end, I can say I almost made it, but I'm happy with the final result.
Made in FL Studio 12.
Vst's used: Magical 8bit plugin, SGM soundfont, Keyzone Classic, 3xOsc and Ample Guitar M II Lite.

Theme

One Summer Night

How does it fit the theme?
Imagine you are at the beach, the sun is setting, and another night is starting. The wind is getting colder, and you are there, looking at the horizon, lost in your dreams.

Lost in dreams is really nice.

I started singing a melody I would add into it.

This is my note to self to do it at some point and share the result with you! Heh.

Great work!

Thanks and maybe at the next impressions jam you can show me the melody. I'm curious, because I didn't think of anything when I was working on it, lol.

this one is very nice!!!! i like the chord progression in ur first song, and i liked your variance in instrumentation!!

same thing with the second one, i love the chill vibes and u build variation through the song quite well!!!!

my only thing is i would've loved a more detailed plotline to have a storyline to follow!

usually i would write more of a comment but im about to leave my dorm for a class, so if u want more of my thoughts lmk!! it was an enjoyable listen thank u for sharing:]]

Yeah the ambience is really nice! For being ambient music it's still an enjoyable experience while listening to it sitting down.

This would fit perfectly into a game! Definitely more than just ambience, your soundtrack is great :)

I love the chords in Another Night Started! Also, the bird-like textures are such a cool touch. The chords and vibe in Lost in Dreams are great as well. Gives me melancholic vibes.

The night time vibes really come through in these tracks, and I think the composition of Another Night Started is pretty stellar. The acoustic guitar sounds nice and wide in the mix, allowing for a nice padding around the piano.

Another Night Started: This is a really calm piece that evokes a sense of sitting calmly in low sunlight near water. These chords are really interesting as they move back and forth from each other. They use notes that don’t exist in one key which gives this such a unique flavor. I agree with the comment saying that it could fit in a game with more ambient music like Pikmin (which I love).

Lost in Dreams: The mixture of chiptune synths and organic instruments has such a powerful effect that I’m a sucker for! The use of the 9th added in your chords creates such a beautiful night time feel that works really well for your theme of dreams. These are both lovely. I think they could certainly work in a game, and I wonder what other tracks would also fit in that game world - I hope you make more! Thanks for sharing!

Dang, I can't believe we made similar stuff LMAOOOOO, especially the track "Another Night Started". Yours are much cooler, though.

Lol. I do think that yours main theme have this charming fell and a more established harmony than my track, but in the end both songs came out really good and serve different contexts pretty well. But i do think that yours is better lol

These songs really felt like "night" which is great for the theme you were looking to achieve.

Hey, give yourself more credit in the description!! This is so awesome, first of all i love the pixel cover art, and I really love the first track, I listened at least 5 times already! It does certainly give off village vibes and I instantly thought of cozy games like zelda, and animal crossing.  Its amazing!! And the second track has a nostalgic feel I love that too.

Idk what you mean by the credits, but thanks.

Really cool!

The textures you created in "Another Night Started" reminded me of Pikmin!

"Lost in Dreams" was very relaxing which fits the summer night theme pretty well!

Great job!
