Description
This track was created for the OST Composing Jam 8 competition and is a collection of four house music–style songs inspired by the soundtracks of Sonic Mania, Jet Set Radio, and Ape Escape. The title 響 (Hibiki) in Japanese means "reverb" or "resonance," and the song was intentionally designed to flow seamlessly from one section to the next, like a DJ set, making it suitable for looping in a video game. All composition, mixing, mastering, and editing were done using Cubase, Maschine+, and Maschine 3.
Message from the artist
I realized the sample rate in Cubase was wrong when I exported the track, which made the pitch off. I’ve fixed it and re-uploaded the corrected version to YouTube.

Regarding house music you've done your homework, there's no doubting that. The opening track is insane.
This would be perfect for a super colorful dance game! I loved it.
It flows so seamlessly to the point that I couldn't tell where songs changed which made it feel like just 1 big song.
There's no connection to the theme at all or storytelling which is a shame. I like the style of music you went with but it feels just a little lacking in parts. It feels like it needs some vocal samples like jet set radio music because right now it feels a little flat since not much changes in terms of intensity.
Just really solid production all through this.

I'll lead off with this - this track is a BANGER. Grasps that disco/house/dance vibe by the kahones and DOESN'T LET GO. I was grooving in my chair listening to this, and the groove has STANK.
Definite points for vibes alone. The four sections are clear cut but blend very well! Takes me back XD
I think I'm missing some sort of story basis for this music, but other than that your submission is excellent. keep up the great work, and GROOVE ON!
