How does the game fit the theme?
Quickly extracting relics is risky business. Dig too fast and you'll break the relics. Go too slow and the mayor's highway crew will destroy them.
Plus the relics are literally ancient buried dog biscuits

We made everything during the jam except for the music and some SFX

Nice idea of a game! I think archaeology in a game is rather unique, and you've really pulled this off nicely. The art is cute, the gameplay is really addictive and is actually quite difficult too! I've played for around 4-5 runs before getting a successful one, and I enjoyed every second of it! Even the upgrade system is really nice, with a reasonable downside to each of them. The signing UI is also a really nice touch.
The only criticism I can think of is that the artefact might spawn in really inconvenient places, such as directly in front of the drill or directly on the tile the worker is on, which, when a lot of them happened at the same time, felt a bit unfair and led to some quick game over. But anyway, this is a really well-made game and I think you've done a wonderful job!
Really cool and innovative concept! The tension kept increasing as I was digging those artifacts which was really in line with the setting. Those shiba inus really elevate whole experience lol. Amazing work!

VERY nice game! Loved alot of things about it. It was difficult at first, but once I got the hang of it I began to understand the best path. I just continued choosing to get faster speed. I basically avoided the little worker dogs because sometimes they will break my pesky stuff before I could do anything! The strat actually worked and I made it to 40. I was definitely sweating tho near the end, lmao. Loved the game, everything is great about it!
Nice and cozy :) ! Although the drill showing up in level 2 and going as fast as it does is kinda alarming and could use some adjusting since not breaking artifacts is already kinda finiky to know how far to dig down! This game is quite hard, but I enjoyed it a lot! The gameplay is super fun and I think the element of risk was incorporated masterfully. My only gripe is the difficulty, but that's probably just a skill issue from my part. Other than that, I loved playing this. Great work!
I do enjoyed every aspect of the game! The gameplay is very cozy yet challenging. I think more worker and gadget will be good, yet it ruin me haha. Great game!
Impressive entry! Very elegant design, simple, intuitive and engaging. I managed to complete it after a few tries. The characters are very cute and mouth SFX are a always a game jam win in my book.
